Police have made an arrest in one of two homicides last month that shocked residents of the Town of Tonawanda.

Michael Campanella, 21, of Colvin Avenue in Buffalo, is now charged with 2nd degree murder for the shooting death of 32-year-old Thomas Newton. Lieutenant Nicholas Bado says numerous tips from the public helped lead them to the suspect.

Newton was shot dead in front of his Henderson Avenue home on August 14th.
Police say Campanella and Newton did not know each other.


hmmm .. wonder what the motive was? :confused:
