Going through the emails this morning(deleting) I actually read through this one. I could not believe this part, 'If you are not enrolled to Online Banking, please enter your checking account number as Account Number and Social Security Number as Password.'.

You have to be kidding me!!! Who in their right mind or wrong mind, would actually reveal either numbers? Especially if you had never heard of or belonged to this or any credit union? :confused:

You can't believe HOW stupid some people are. They don't even think and click. I can literally say millions of those type of email are sent out everyday. People must click on this stuff because they continue to send it out.

Below is a chart of 3 weeks of incoming email for my company.

Total Received 7,664,018


Look at the amount of blocked incoming emails. Sad part is there was someone mean enough to acutally write the email and send it out in order to try to screw people.

Blocked is the total amount of email blocked in 3 weeks

Virus is each email that may have contained a virus in a file or email itself. That of course is blocked.

Quarantined is each email that the firewall didn't really know what to do with so it just held it.

Allowed Tagged means it really can't decid wether is was spam or a legit email. Some spammers try to make thier email look like real legit emails.

Allowed is what it thinks is legit emails.

Phishing is the worse emails. They try to make the email look like legit ebay or bank email. People think they are clicking on something thier bank sent out but it really re-directs that person to a scam site.

E-mail is an unreliable medium for sharing information. It is unreliable, cannot be tracked and no company uses it to give away money or products. It's an ineffective tool for political activism and won't make you a millionaire overnight.

That garbage is acutally what is emailed to all the clients we have over all. Spam is relentless. Well not the spam itself but the people who insist on sending it out.

I get emails from ***** and worse! Somehow, on another server, I got on a porno list--and these pics came directly onto emails. And no, I never logged on, before or after I started to get them. I reported them every time but they persisted. All gone now. I'm grateful for the filters on Online.
One time a little window popped up on my desktop and asked for my credit card # and exp date!!! to boot. Some people, especially kids, will fall for the most obvious scams.
