I have a pond I built in my backyard and it attrcts a lot of birds that u dont normally see in the city.

Today along with my woodpecker and various other birds I spotted a bunch of yellow birds (mainly yellow with a few streaks of black here and there) about the size of the usual city bird (small).

Never seen yellow ones before anyone know what they are?

A Yellow Finch like this? I have them coming to my feeder with thistle seed. Beautiful bird.

Seen this bird thread and was just wondering if anyone else had been watching the live stream of the Hornby Island, British Columbia eagles nesting? I have been glued to this for over a month and a half. These two eagles had been nesting on two eggs during this time. To watch them take turns sitting cautiously and call out to each other when it was time to switch was truely amazing. Sad to say the eaglets never came to be though.

I have a cardinal nest in a bush that is right against my bathroom window. You can look right into it, and the female pretty much sits there 24/7. Like having my own pet birds without having to claen the cage.

I work about 1 1/2 miles inside of but not for the Iroquois Wildlife Refuge.
There are several breeding pairs of eagles residing there. After 6 years, I've never seen them. It's pretty tough to catch them at home.

And does anyone know what happened to this site? http://www.birdlink.info/birdcam/help.htm ? A webcam devoted to this one family of falcons. I haven't called the Audubon Society to find out. I know the project needed money.
The nest was on the side of the Statler Building, very high up, and was watched by thousands. Occasionally a passerby would rescue a baby from the sidewalk and made sure it was returned to its nest.
Any knowledge of this would be greatly appreciated, but maybe I'll just make the call.:)
