Appraisal.com says it is negotiating incentives designed to keep the Lancaster company in the region, as business recruiters from other states woo the technology firm.
Appraisal.com employs 50 people, and nearly all of its customers are outside Western New York. It provides online-based services for appraisers, and sells software used by appraisers.
Mark Yellen, the firm's president, said communities in Florida, Georgia and California have contacted him. "We've had some attractive offers from otherparts of the country to move our company," he said.
