It doesn’t matter what his motives are. If you care, ask him!
The fact remains; ANYONE in the WORLD is allowed to “donate” their money to ANY POLITICIAN.
You’re spending too much time fretting over the “messenger” and not concentrating on the message.
The message is EVERYTHING is for sale. ANY legislation can get passed with enough MONEY. That’s a dangerous place for us to be in! We are for sale to the highest bidder; today Golisano, tomorrow……. And ALL our politicians are scumbags and the “for sale” sign is out!
That’s what we should be concentrating on….. Real reform on the election process on the amount of money these scumbags are allowed to collect and spend!

I don't understand why their is such an uproar about Mr. Golisano supporting politicians who support his political beliefs. His monetary contributions are a drop in the bucket compared to the State, County and City Union workers contributions to politicians in this State who support these workers demands for more jobs and higher paying wages and fringe benefits. Why the double standard?
While typing out this post I was listen to WBEN. Eire Count Democratic Chairman Mr. Lenihan was on the radio. Mr Lenihan stated that NY State Senators Mr Thompson and Mr. Stachowski were very important Senators in protecting the interest of the WNY taxpayers area. I wonder where Mr. Lenihan has been living lately?

Lenihan is trying to protect the "PARTY". Also, he is protecting them from all of the attacks from the constituents. The bottom line is they can make a difference if they would act in WNY's favor.
There should be a WNY coalition to fight for us. Not a coalition to preserve the status quo.
All WNY elected Officials should get together. They can swing the problems of the NYS State in our favor. Why have two low lifes from NY city dictate everything.
Lenihan---- have the "the spender" Thompson and the "do nothing" Stachowski call the shots in the Senate for the hard working middle class of NYS

It sounds like a good idea but Lenihan and "the spender" and the "do nothing" politician who are supposed to represent this area only dance to the request of the downstate Democratic leaders. That is why this area is constantly short changed with the political handouts. Their is only so much money to hand out and it is not coming here.

This is what some may call political grand standing...meaning Mr. Golisano who has plenty of time to move back to NY and become the governor if the GOP gave him the nod, he would be back here running for that office.

We'd consider him a viable candidate for candidate as well, if he could handle our strict ethical guidelines. He wouldn;t be a "shoe in" just becuase of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, for sure. But, as he beleives in "RATIONALIZING" government, we'd be pretty close minded.
Look, I say hat's of to Tom. Motivation? Maybe just in leaving a legacy. The shame of the matter is that you and I can't "come together" and "git er done" , it take s abillionaire, with a conscience, and a paid henchman. Some sad stuff right there.
We shouldn't look for white knights. Yet, WNY voters are so darn jaded, when y'all get one, you can't even tell what it is.
