23 of the worst Islamo terrorists in the world escaped from a Yemeni prison over the weekend.

My only surprise is that it took a whole day for news accounts to float the idea that the Yemeni government was involved with the escape.

The escape was through a tunnel 140 yards long. Initial reports were that they had outside help in creating the tunnel.

I'm out on a limb here. I'm guessing the prison was not in a town. Kind of set off by itself.

Do you know what the desert looks like in that part of the world? Do you think it might have been obvious that there was a lot of activity going on about fifty yards from the prison fence?

If it had one.

Or that there was a mighty big pile of dirt growing out there?

Here's another news bulletin from the Yemeni government: they won't be able to identify the escapees if they've already been spirited into the surrounding population.

So what's the deal here?

They all look alike to them, too?
