President Barack Obama has hit another home run with his nomination of Ronald Sims to be deputy secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/may/07/nominee-ensnared-in-records-violations/

President Obama's choice for the government's No. 2 housing job is embroiled in the largest fine in U.S. history for "blatant violations" of open records laws after the Washington State Supreme Court chastised his office for withholding documents detailing taxpayer costs for a new professional football stadium in Seattle.

The documents that Ronald Sims' office was found to have kept from the public when he served as King County executive included information about cheaper alternatives to the $430 million Seattle Seahawks stadium, which was built in 2002, according to a Washington Times review of the court records.

Washington's highest court ruled in January that the withheld documents would have allowed voters in a referendum to challenge "the veracity" of King County's request for $300 million in public bonds for the project. The justices found the actions of Mr. Sims' office to be so "egregious" that they scrapped a lower court's order of a $123,780 fine - the largest ever assessed in a public records case - and recommended that the penalty be increased to as much as $825,000

Attention: President Obama needs help. He is building a Cabinet of worthy individuals for the express purpose of world domination.

Only the best criminals need apply. If you have experience in Theft, Larceny, Money Laundering, cheating (regarding taxes is best), extortion, bullying, exploitation, assault, robbery, fraud, and battery then you too can be a part of my own personal cabinet. Only well qualified, experienced and vetted candidates need apply. Thinking you can't help because you are incarcerated at the moment, I have executive pardon power. ;)

Let's look at the facts. Kerry did two tours in Vietnam (okay, one and a half) while the Drunk went AWOL for a year after Daddy pulled strings to get him into the Texas Air Guard.
Kerry's only mistake was to publicly question the motives for getting involved in Southeast Asia in the first place. This angered a lot of big shots in the Pentagon. Having been there several times as a courier while in the Marine Corps and personally knowing upper-echelon officers and civilian employees, I can tell you first-hand that those folks have very long memories.
While I'm not too thrilled with his liberal attitudes nowadays, I guess I'd be proud to have someone compare me to the John Kerry of the 1970s.....

I was refering more to the fact that he married a rich french lady :p:D

Plus his own men called him a coward and didn't earn his commishion but was "given it".

Kerry may not have been a good person to compare to, how about Barney fat ass frank? Better?

No, my two-year tour was Stateside. I nailed courier duty because nobody else wanted it. Sometimes a couple of hours notice and I'd be off to anywhere in the States. Gave me a chance to see D.C., Lousiana, and Yuma, Arizona, among other places.
All I got out of that was travel pay and food allowance, if where I was sent wasn't a military base and that didn't happen often.
As to the ear-cutting, I did know at least two Marines who would get information from captured enemy combatants by taking several of them up in a Huey and tossing one out. Then they'd put the question to the next in line. If he didn't talk, out he'd go. Number three usually talked. These were atrocities, but remember this; these men saw their fellow troopers killed by these same Cong and most were itching for revenge.
It was a war (if never actually declared) and bad things happen in a war. Those men, while they lived, had to live with what they saw and what they did and I don't envy them.

Much!
And I think that Kerry's missus (the widow of the late Senator Heinz) is a Kraut, not a Frenchwoman.....

Kerry couldn't even be straight with those he protested with. When they threw away their medals, Kerry threw away fakes and kept his. Now there is a man of conviction, huh! You should be proud to be compared to a liar and a spineless worm!

You knew about atrocities and did NOT report them to superior officers?
Then you too, are guilty.

And off course you can document these allegations?
Didn't a major CBS newsman get canned for promoting this story based on forged documents?
Or does forgery, like Obama's promises have an expiration date?

Hahahahaa....

That's the first time I've realized that you can say Obama with a 'baa' like a sheep. Why haven't I heard this before from conservative radio hosts? It sounds like a great way for them to say Obama, instead of saying something like 'The One'.

I don't approve of it, but it's funny.

Another armchair warrior heard from.
Atrocities have happened in each and every war ever fought. War itself is an atrocity. Think for a moment about being on the front line and seeing you buddy get his face shot off. And then ask yourself just how tenderly you're going to treat the next enemy soldier that gets in your crosshairs.
When you can answer that and answer it truthfully, then get back to me.
Until then, get lost!
