...have we done this yet? Sorry if this is a repeat. I just had an incredibly strong, but not necessarily great, cup of coffee. Mobile, on the run, Amherst St. --Mondays are half-price. I'm jumping out of my skin. I prefer "Spot."

I think "Other" ought to win this poll by a landslide. Tim Hortons is blended and overrated. I don't get it. Gloria Jeans at the McKinley Mall has pretty good coffee. Fresh coffee should be sweet not bitter, though it is rarely served that freshly roasted.

Actually, Wegmans does pretty well with their Columbian coffee; the French Roast, I find bitter....or if it's been sitting too long.

Wait, how much per lb.?
I had some really BAD coffee recently, but can't remember where, if it comes to me, I'll give you guys a heads up.

I remember, it's the sandwich shop on Delevan Avenue, "Dagwoods," bad coffee, threw it out.

Blue Mountain is in Jamaica and if it's not grown on that mountain it's not authentic either. I read a very large book called Uncommon Grounds, that's how I know this stuff.
Robusto beans have much more caffeine than Arabica, but are harder to find because they don't taste very good and are rarely sold but you can get them

How interesting.

www.coffee.com

We should all chip in and order coffees of the world. We could have a coffee tasting adventure. Just think how fast we cost posts once pumped up on a few pots :)

My vote has to go to Spot coffee. I usually skip the house blend and go for one of the more exotic flavors. They are always very full bodied and strong. I tried Cafe Aroma today for the first time - I wasn't impressed, it was good, but not outstanding. I was out Christmas shopping on Elmwood and decided to pop in and give them a try. Tim Horton's is ok, not great but not offensive. The absolute worst coffee is from McDonalds and Burger King. I haven't been very impressed with Starbucks coffee either, I tried it a couple of times because they have a drive-thru near where I live - I'd rather get Horton's.

I agree; smooth, not bitter.

CoffeeAM.com (http://www.coffeeam.com) is a good company for purchasing fresh roasted whole beans. If you order in 5 lb. bags, the price per pound is very reasonable. I have been ordering from them for a few years now and haven't found a better combination of quality and value anywhere else.

I used to order Gevalia, good, but expensive. My dad orders Peetes? Strong stuff, let me tell ya.

Best coffee I ever had was on the ViaRail, the train from Toronto to Montreal...

Other than that, Liberty Coffee makes a mighty fine latte...

I road down the Blue Mountains of Jamaica on a freaking bike - and let me tell ya. It's DEFINATELY in Jamaica. (see below - pic from our trip)

I brought some home - roasted on the mountain. Best coffee I've ever had.

WesternNYRES if you see some show up at your shop someday - you'll know where it came from.
