They were talking about it on WGR this morning. Nothing's official, but they'd like to have those old colors back for next season. New NHL, old colors, new logo? Here are some unofficial options: http://www.celsiusdesign.net/sabres/logos.html

Here's a nice site for you.

It's called Blue and Gold Forever!
They have a lot of great old images of the Sabres in the blue and gold at the Aud.
Something I know a die-hard hockey fan like yourself will appreciate. :D

Nope, I say if they're going to go retro - go all the way. :)

I agree. If they're going back to blue and gold, bring back the old logo. I could deal with a couple of the new logos, as long as they look somewhat like the old ones, if that makes sense. If it doesn't, just check out the website I gave earlier from WGR and you'll se what I mean.

I used to love those blue and gold dinners. I hated wearing the uniforms though. Too many patches. the neckerchief always was annoying too.
The pinewood derby was always fun too.

They're on fire. Biron had the greatest non-save I've ever seen on Friday against the Penguins, if there is such a thing. Saturday's save with thirty seconds left looked like an instant replay of Friday's, but this time it was stopped.
Miller should continue his conditioning in Rochester right now. Biron is white-hot, but I guess he might get a well-deserved rest tonight.

I'm not opposed to bringing back the blue & gold but they need a modern uniform scheme, not the same cheesy design they came into the league with in 1970.

I miss the old logo and colors. Granted, most of my clothing is either black or red, but that's got nothing to do with anything but personal preference. I do still wear my old Sabres stuff and get lots of positive comments on it.

I remember the Sabres team that went to the '75 Stanley Cup Finals. In fact, I was sitting in the crowd behind the Philly goal when Rene Robert(?) won the third game of the series in OT in the Aud for the Sabres. That team was much better than the '99 team that went to the finals (which was mostly Dominic vs the world), but these guys --- OMG, these Sabres just keep finding ways to win! They're scary. If they continue to play near this level for the remainder of the season ... watch out!

I miss the old blue and gold colors. Those were the uniforms for the Hardest Working Team in Hockey. When I think of those old uniforms, I think of Perreault, LaFantaine, Foligno, Turgeon, Hawerchuk... classic Sabres.
The goat-heads came around for the new arena, and I cann't picture 'new' classics like Peca, Barnes, and Varada wearing the old blue and gold (even though I think Peca and Varada did).
The Sabres were a franchise on the upswing with the new goat-head uniforms. They made it to the conference finals, cup finals, and then 77 seconds away from the conference finals again (stupid Lemieux). So the goat heads grew on me.
I just wish the Sabres would wear their white uniforms at home again, whether it's goat-head or old school. I liked that.
The red uniforms tried to blend the old with the new, using the new colors. I hated those at first, but they've grown on me. Marty Biron's helmet with the old logo in red on the chin is really cool.
