You gotta go read this site..

www.realamherst.com

Start reading what your supervisor posts here. It will start to come to light why your taxes have increased so much to live in your home.

Also as a interesting note.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
by your Amherst supervisor,

Amherst was shortchanged by the Town Board's majority decision to close the Amherst Pepsi Center Fitness Facility without any plan in place to produce revenues and rejecting even looking at a public private partnership for use of the facility that would have produced $80,000 in revenues annually.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ask her to have it investigated for fraud. There are scandals that are being brought to her attention but she turns a blind eye to it. THe pepsi center cost's amherst much much more than $80,000 in revenue. It's a money loser.

Read this story by one of the writers,

http://www.speakupwny.com/article_316.shtml

Now shouldn't childrens hospital be notified of this invoice? Something seems fishy about this. Ever question yourself how many more invoices are like this? Milking the tax payer? Now wouldn't a concerned superivisor jump on this thieft of tax money? OR wouldn't Childrens hospital want to know why it was charged so much for 20 sundaes? Maybe that's why health care has to charge so much seeing they are spending this much for ice cream for 20 kids. Someone is paying that bill and someone is stealing that profit.

Start asking questions.

AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH

The manager of our Pepsi Center has the most confusing system of keeping track of credits and Debit. We are being ripped off by the Manager of the Pepsi with the help of our highly neuthoric Supervisor. She see this building has her own child and she will lie, cheat or anything to keep it afloat. It clearly evidence her health is suffering . Her white pallor and depressive looks show she in need of very seroious help and quiclky.A woman of 50 is in her prime but Supervisor Grelick looks like a ghost and she just turned 50.

You really have to be called on this one. How about 2000 visitors anf sundaes. Even you should know how outrageous your statements are. You blind hatred for the supervisor is showing!

Next question. Why is this being paid for by the tax payer?

Look at the invoice,

1800 paper products for 95 cents each. What were they? napkins? What did the town have to pay 95 cents each for?

Rumor is it's 20 kids not 2000 people.

Just state what it was, thats the issue, everything is too vague. Prove me wrong!!! thats all i'm asking. :)

If the superivisor needs her pepsi gym open then have her collect all the accounting materials and lets look through the numbers.
You can't do that can you, if the numbers were worth showing she would have them on the desk for everyone to see. I notice the longer she talks about this gym at the pepsi center the revenue amount goes up. It was $35.000 a few weeks ago, now it's $80,000. How about deducting the Cost of doing business out of the revenue and show the NET cost.

And since when is the taxpayer paying for parties? Where's the books? How many parties do they have there at OUR expense.

Lay them all out on the table before the people that run the place have time to go through the books.

See Dvoakley, it's called open goverment and don't spend our money foolishly. If this was an event for 2000 people then they could of easily had a business sponser the event, not the taxpayer.

Dvoakley , what do you do? No disrespect seeing i dont know you. But perhaps you are being fed a line a bs and just don't realize it yet. Why don't you go file a FOI and prove us all wrong? Show us how this Pepsi center is an asset for the whole community not just the ones that use it.

I have family that live in amherst and i dont really care to see some of thier fixed income going for parties or people to go play hockey. Too few people spend too much money which everyone ends up paying for.

Prove you wrong ? Why don't you have the facts to present before you go making wild and unsubstanciated charges. You can claim the moon is blue and then say prove me wrong. That's not the way it works. Your agenda is showing!

WNYresident
September 4th, 2003, 12:19 PM
There's a gentlemen who has been trying to show what is up but the superivisor turns a blind eye to it. THey do thier best not to release FOI's also.

I saw the invoice for the ice cream party. Just explain that one for starters.

If the superivisor thinks there's $80,000 a year net revenue from the gym just prove it. Someone mentioned the pepsi center cost the tax payer over $1,000,000 a year. SO you think it's a good business practice to spend $1,000,000 a year to generate $80,000? You most definately wouldn't be working for me.

Only agenda I have is to stop waste of our tax dollar and corruption. I personally don't know these people and don't care to. I dont care what party you are a member of either. They are only titles people put behind thier names to feel important.

Mostly useless titles. Thats all. If you believe wasting our money is good and corruption is good thats your opinion. You are allowed to have one seeing we are in the USA.

Just because your opinion is different than mine doens't mean i need my meds changed. Usually when people start to lose an argument they start to throw insults out. Have I once insulted you? And it's not a VAST CONSPIRACY, it's just a few bad apples.

Our local goverments are spending more than what is coming in. Bad business.

So your opinion is big goverment with LOTS of employees are good? and a little graft on the side is fine?

See my opinion is SMALL goverment with NO graft period. None.

Is your agenda based on allowing it to continue? Or do you believe a little graft and waste is allowable?

Could someone help me with this thread so he doesn't think i'm a screwball? Crum? Az?

Mr. DoNo, I don't know who you respect on the Town Board. If you trust Bill Kindel ask him if what I have written concerning the Pepsi Center is untrue. I cannot hate anyone but I find that some who lie so often must have problems within her own mind. Mr. DoNo, do you lie to get out of tough problems or do you stand your ground . I stand my ground and look for proof. It's hard work but I would very much like for you to work with me. This job will not make you popular but you will gain a great deal of self respect in helping the people of this Town as well as our Town.

Mr.DoNo, What I'm I lying about. If you list the subject matter that will be a starting point for us.

Careful! Didn't you run into some problems with your intemperate remarks during a Town Board. Don't remember how that was resolved. Remember the fable of the honey and vinigar. You throw out accusations with no and I mean no substanciation. Your creditability with everone is zero. Maybe you should begin a crusade to save the whales, you know, something where no one knows your bias.

WNYresident
September 5th, 2003, 09:40 AM
THe proof is there is no proof on thier part. Can we FOI all the books? hmmm? little over 1700 for napkins? where do they shop?
If it was for 2000 people they could of went to sams club and got a little better price.. huh?

Do you know Mr. D that sometimes they stall and won't let FOI's go through easily? Why is that?

Either way with the ice cream party, town shouldn't be paying for that period. How many other get togethers on town expense are there? THERE should be NONE enless it's a TOWN function for everyone like the 4th of july or a parade etc. If the budget had surpluses then some perhaps could be spent but the fact is there ISN"T.

So Mr D, what do you do for a living? Do you own a business? or are you a lawyer? or are you a patronage hire by someone you know in the town? Personally I dont' know who you are so i can't form an opinion on you.

between the ice cream and the computers, i'd say theres something rotten in denmark. Looks like theres no oversight in purchasing. Call in a big accounting firm and do a top to bottom audit. Then "bias" or "agenda" become moot. Let the numbers speak for themselves.

Does anyone have a problem with an audit to restore credibility to the town govt? I don't.

Get the ball rolling. Get the town to do an audit with a major accounting firm, and if they say no, accuse them of "a coverup" in the media.

It's very hard to justify saying "we don't need to know the facts"...

September 5th, 2003, 11:08 AM
Thats my whole point. THey will do a $500,000 study to see why the homes are sinking.. but not a STUDY to see where the money may be wasted.

$50,000 there, $20,000 here, $3000 there, $35,000 here... before you know it you have wasted millions throughout WNY that could be used for ROADS!!!!! BRIDGES!!!!!!!!! stuff we can see.

So Mr D... what profession are you in? I have been in business for 22 years and made money each and every year. Cut back when I had to and took bonuses when the money was there. We also help many many non profits some for free to return some of our good fortune to the community.

Mr. Do No. It isn't my creditability that is in question. The help I have given to the Council has helped them to bring down Mr. Passmore. I took Mr. Binner to the Ethics Board two years ago on the same charges he was indicted on. I was the one who discover what really happen to the 6 barrels of spoiled paint and the 1 barrel of chemicals. It was my information working with the DEC and the EPA that caused them to informed our Town to stop dumping 22 million gals. of waste into the Erie Barge Canal and Tonawanda Creekfrom Plant 16. There has been more that I have worked on to help my Town. There isn't any need to take credit because you do the right thing. I DON'T hate anyone but I feel strongly that people in authority should do their jobs.If I try to informed the Board of a problem, there are members on that Board who do work with me and there are some who can't because of fear.

WNYresident
September 6th, 2003, 11:52 AM
OUr issue is we never told the people in authority EXACTLY what we expect of them. There where we went wrong. We assumed they were going to work in our best interest. Apparently the ugly face of greed and stupidity plays a big roll in some departments. :)

As I recall you ran for the Town Board And you were soundly(that means overwhelming) defeated. I would say the citizens of Amherst do not countenance your vituperative invective. You must be a bitter man who lives in a garret somewhere and spends his waking hours dipping his pen in the poison of hatred while sticking needles in a fasimile of our supervisor. You're more to be pitied then believed.
The GOP has no one to run against the supervisor. Their only hope is to have people like you will spread malious venom against her in hopes it will weaken her electorially. Keep up your Republican inspired diatribe.

Mr. Dono,
Thank you for all of your compliments. They show how hated feeds the mind of those who must follow instead of lead. Listen to what you have written and then compared it to the hate mongers of history like Hitler. I have asked you to meet with me to discuss your hated towards me. We maybe able to understand where we are coming come and why you have such a strong dislike for me. I hope we can resolve this problem. If not there is no reason for me to respond to your rheortic.

I sat at a board meeting and watched a few on TV. You do not have leaders elected as board memebers. YOu have a few people led by the nose by the superivisor. How do you make desicions without numbers of budgets that are accurate? The story changes like people change thier socks with the gym at hte pepsi center. Just pull up the accounting for that compete department and LETS just look at the true cost. WOn't happen.

Good example is the pepsi center. DO they acutally have a real set of books? Do they have detailed invoices for all expendatures. Even that one you mentioned for 2000 people, I don't beleive it. IF it did happen i want to know why are we spending residents tax money on that when we see a deficit on the way? Was it true the builder was given a busget and then was told to keep all the leftover money that he didn't use? WHO the hell would of came up with that one?

Sir,

What do you do for a living? I always ask seeing I like to know how people form thier opinions and what experience they base it on. I'm also not being dis-respectful. I would just like to know your experience in business or schooling. I want to make sure i'm not arguing amherst's budgets issues with someone working at fast food joint versus someone that owns a few. Make sense?

The company that we purchased $14,000.00 of computers from in January ,2003, has filed with the Town Attorney their intend to sue us for non-payment of these computers. This small company located in Amherst has closed it's doors, they are now out of business. Our Town Attorney has repeately stated that these computers purchased by the Town's Engineering Dept were purchased without going through correct channels. Therefore, the Town isn't going to pay for these computers that we took possesion of Jan,2003 .
