This "is" how our government is supporting(??) our troops? Did exposing this kind of action on national tv hurt or correct this hypocrisy? NOT IN THE LEAST!!
Let's keep protecting "big oil", the filthy f******* rich, & companies like Halliburton.....mr. Bush\mr Cheney !
Make DAMN SURE that "they" get their "big cuts" of the big pie ......FIRST !!
That's what "seems" to be THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR OF THEIR POLICY, ....DOESN'T IT?
Freekin rich, war mongoring, chicken sh**" hawks !! Go fight your own battles (without any armor) !!!!
It's sad, that you ain't got the " b**** ", .....that are even "near" as big as your b.s., or your wallets !!
To you people, some well placed sentiment, some praise, and a few stickers, totally "suffice", & is "justified" as your version of..... "American patriotism".
This administration is a..."joke", .....but, it ain't even that "funny" anymore !!

During Operation Iraqi Freedom, inadequate body armor was issued to thousands of troops. I know -- I was one of them.

Maybe a few hundred bucks spent on body armor isn’t much to Secretary Rumsfeld, who makes about $175,700. But a few hundred dollars is a big deal to Richard Murphy. Last year his salary as a Specialist (E-4) was about $20,000.
a few comments:
"The flawed policies and priorities of this administration are absolutely shameful."
"If Congress is appropriating billions for the war effort, and Bush has spent the government into an unprecedented deficit--where the hell is the money going?"
"This exposes the hypocrisy. They claim to support the troops but they treat them like expendable cannon fodder."
"The Pentagon is full of good hearted people that have only our best interests at heart, starting with the most good hearted of them all, Don Rumsfeld."
"Tell me why these actions (or lack thereof) do not constitute immediate firing for treason, as well as being put on trial for murder? "
"Rumsfeld is a f-----g disgrace. He needs to be replaced immediately. "
"I have a friend who was home from iraq on leave this past june for a week and during that time he had to go to Wal Mart and get a good strong portable spot light so he would have a good one when he was out on night patrol."

Senator: DoD should be ordered to reimburse body-armor costs
September 29, 2005
Tired of waiting for the Pentagon to launch an authorized program to reimburse troops who buy their own personal protective gear for combat deployments, the chief congressional sponsor of the program wants to wrest control of it from defense officials.
Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., attached a provision to last year’s defense authorization bill authorizing — but not requiring — the Defense Department to reimburse troops up to $1,100 for the expense of body armor and other protective gear and health and safety equipment not provided by the military.
The Pentagon .....HAS NEVER PAID A DIME.
“The administration is either showing complete incompetence or utter indifference,” he said. “It feels as if I am getting a rope-a-dope with them, hoping I would go away.”
“How many of those killed could have been saved with the proper equipment?” Cline said.
