I was wondering if a group of us would like to donate some cash to place ads in the buffalo news. Nothing to promote the company hosting this, I mean soley to let the politicians know we are coming. The residents that is. Elections are in november and this would be a good time to start to purge the criminals from the system.

I define a criminal as anyone taking a paycheck from the tax payer with nothing to show for thier efforts. OR, not working in the best interest of hte resident and controled by special interest groups. Lately i have been getting email pointing out some rather crooked stuff but the senders won't put thier names into the emails to confirm what they are saying. If half of it's true i see why NYS/WNY is in the position it is in.

Just a thought. :)

P.S.

THere have been some good ideas mentioned from people on this site, there's no reason to have our local leaders spend money on studies when the answers are here for free! Perhaps if they would learn to read what the residents are saying we could save money on studies.

Good example, Amherst wants to spend upwards of $500,000 to see why the homes are sinking. Here's the answer from 30 years ago. Don't build there seeing the property isn't good to build on. BUT no, the developers wanted cheap land to build homes on.

Homes that familes would depend on and raise thier families. THe developers didn't care that they might sink and have foundation issues they wanted to profiteer from that land. Look how lancaster is being destroyed by a screw ball town board and a few select developers.

THe people that approved the permits didn't care seeing they needed thier "bribe" campaign contributions either.

That didn't cost $500,000 to figure out. :)

That's a really good idea. Count me in for a couple of bucks.

Maybe it's time to get the politicians interested in what the people are really saying.

The speakupWNY news page will get recognized as well.
There are some really good articles posted there.

just a thought... it's a really good thought

The thing about the sinking homes in Amherst, everyone wanted to move there to escape Buffalo, which has plenty of good homes. (But then again there might be too many brown-skinned folks for the tastes of some of these people.) Why would any developer want to go against that? Why would a town want to go against that, considering the tax base it brings?
It'd be suicide.
