Wifey and I went to the WINGFEST Friday night and paid $15 before we ever got into the event itself between parking and admission. Then, the tickets, like last year were $1/2 wings and most of the vendors wings were scrawny. There appeared to be 25% fewer vendors than last year but at least the Turkey Hill "Buffalo Stampede" samples were free.

How many wings did you get for $.50?? I hope the answer is not 1 wing...... One wing for $.50 I would have been tempted to stick the wing somewhere else other than my mouth.

$15 bucks before you you even set foot on the festival.... Man Come over to my place and give me $10 bucks I would have offered unlimited wings.

Things today cannot be reasonably priced. Everyone is in price gouging mode.

YES! - $ .50 cents / wing. The wifey and I believe this year was more expensive than we remembered last year's pricing to be when we were getting 3 wings / $1 ticket.

I cursed a couple of times when I got to "CapnMorgans" tent from Corning, NY. The vendor didn't bring their award winning Raspberry Habanero wings from last years festival which I looked forward to for the past 10 months - NO KIDDING. I did win a balsa glider for finishing a handful of "ATOMIC" wings which were pathetically mild from a place in TX trying to franchise up this way. I also picked up a cool T-shirt for downing four "NUCLEAR" wings, with no blue cheese or beer during the effort, from an Atlanta, Georgia vendor.

The the hottest wings at the festival were a "suicidal" version from some place in the Southeast trying to franchise this way. I gasped for breath about 30 seconds into my 2nd wing; it took my breath away, literally. Another guy standing next to me, laughing at my discomfort, took his turn at the suicidal delicacy. The crowd of people around us, including myself, thought he believed he was going into respiratory distress - actually, he was in distress. His eyes went bloodshot, his face turned red as hell and his breathing became very shallow. He could scarcely speak and was begging the vendor for water, anything to put out the flash fire in his mouth. They lifted their hands as if to say... "sorry you dolt..." I laughed back at him and yet I felt sorry for him. The closest beer vendor was nearly 60 feet away in the middle of the ball field (he he he).

I'd love to have a "SPEAKUPWNY" wingfest in the future along w/ select grog, good friends and some entertainment.

I went Friday with my wife and some friends. I thought it seemed a bit pricy as first, but we went for dinner and the two of us had lots of wings, corn on the cob, drinks, and dessert for under $50. So really, I guess it wasn't that expensive at all.

Oh... and if you happened to mention to the Navy Galley guys that you had a relative who was also a Navy chef, they hooked you up quite well!
