Here are a few posts from a political message board. Give them a read and then see my commentary after.

1. They were more prepared at Woodstock! Very little preparation. No clear cut goal. No definition of what it's going to take to win.

2. Why take a stand here? The killings were deplorable; but, why do we need to be the neighborhood cop?

3. Who annointed the President moral authority and savior of the world?

4. Perhaps the President would not be so quick to endanger the lives of American Service men and woman, if he flew the first combat sortie or occupied the first piece of foreign ground. Then had to answer the question... what the hell am I doing here and why as the hordes approached?

5. The President is putting our sons and brothers and fathers into a blood bath that might have been handled better with the proper use of diplomacy.

6. We drop bombs, the price of oil and oil stocks rise immediately. Interesting!

7. How many people have to be captured and killed before the President gets out of other countries' business? The headlines said "President stands firm!" He isn't standing, our soldiers are! What a total loser of a president he pretends to be!

Perhaps you've already figured out my little trick - these quotes refer to President Clinton, not President Bush. So my question is this: were the people who made these statements anti-American? Were they giving comfort and aid to the enemy? Was expressing an opinion critical of the President acceptable before January 20, 2001?

And how about the other side of the coin? Were the people involved in planning Kosovo war mongers? Were they out to exploit and control the world's oil resources or make their friends rich from the spoils of war?

Just a few things to think about.
