Elect Dan Ward (http://www.electdanward.com)
Here is Dan Wards websitte. Anyone find something on Giambra so we can read up on both and make a intelligent voting decision?

I see Dan Ward STILL hasn't added any content onto his "issues" tab...
He has one issue:
How does he pull off fixing anything without selling out the very organization (local dem. party cartel) that put him in office? He can certianly preside over "maintaining the status-quo", but after one term, he won't get re-elected and his political career will be over.
The WNY democratic party machine has no interest in doing what needs to be done, like cutting taxes and spending, and consolidating and downsizing local government. Dan even lists the civil service unions as supporters on his web site. They hope they can get "an affable guy" like Dan elected and squeeze another four years of ineffectiveness and procrastination out of his term. And, they will get rid of the bogeyman Giambra, with all his "consolidate" talk.
That's why his web site has no "issues" yet. He hasn't come up with any solutions and he hopes that no one asks him. At least Giambra has the guts to confront the problems and suggest a real solution. Ironically, the best thing for Dans career might be to lose this election. Then he won't be the fall guy for another 4 years of failure.

Notice how there's typos. I wonder if they are using civil servants.

Went to dans website and he finally put up some info on his "issues" page.

Sad to see it was so brief, considering he could put up as much content as he wanted for the same price.
#1 item: Job Creation.
Doesn't say how or when, just like Hillary did when you elected her.
Peace Bridge:
The county has nothing to do with building the bridge, but it sounds good.

You have to be kidding me. Is giving away a product that private industry already sells such a burning issue at this time in this county?
I could go on, but I won't. What a collection of "do-good-isms" that mean absolutely nothing. This guy really doesn't have a plan, except to get elected and do what the Democratic party machine tells him to do. They have to get rid of the bogeyman Giambra, who keeps rocking the boat. I can't believe that 70% of the people on this site want to vote for this guy. He is the chosen representitive of more of the same. And, everyone is obviously thrilled with the status-quo!

The thing is curm that this area is DEMOCRAT. They vote democrat they will die democrat. Most think that a different democrat is well different because he is a different person. Like you said the democrat machine around here won't let you be just that. A democrat is same as the next around here no matter name , creed , race you name it they are still one in the same.

You have to be joking. If it wasn't for democrates this area would be more in the hole than it is. Who do you think gives the handouts. If it wasn't for us democrates all the social programs we support would be not be founded.

I was going to comment on that comment but I just couldn't even come up with a snappy comment.
I think it's time to let some of the very low end of the scale move to other states and let them live off thier dime for a while.. AND while we are at it, who the hell is bringing more immagrants into the buffalo area?! Who ever it is STOP it. Let them stay in thier own country seeing I for one would rather support american citizens if we have to give hand outs.
I heard there's like 500 more on the way to the buffalo area. So who ever the idiot is who's allowing this to happen when we are over taxed as it is..... STOP IT. It's stupid.

Well the INS for one. I thought you had to possess a skill no other american does ? But any way I commented on this in anohter thread. Some feel good movement of the day? Some priest saw Black Hawk Down and felt more sorry for the people not trying to help themselves than for the solider dieing to try.

Basically we need to stop all immigrantion until all americans have jobs or a extremely low un-employement rate. NOT what we have now.
Cant' we classify all illegal mexicans coming over the boarder as terroist? They could be said to be ruining our national economy and placing a drain on our money. I vote lets pull out of iraq and let them just kill each other then go get the oil and take that billions of dollars we are wasting there and build a 50 foot electric bug zapper type fence along hte mexican border!
What would saudi arabia say if 200,000 americans started to flock there? WOuld they just start handing us welfare? I dont think so. No, they would say they are invading.

I don't think I can agree to that statement... There's a lot of data out there that point to the fact that immigration is helping out economy. Look, this is an extremely complex issue and I'm not going to pretend to portray myself as an expert, but "soundbyte summations" of the issue aren't very useful. Look at the numbers and follow the money.
What we DO need to do is modify the process so that the "illegal" people who we basically let in get legalized. We spend a substantial amount of money "pretending" to fix a "problem" with the border patrol, etc... The fact is immigrants are fuel for our economy, and have been for over 200 years.
Look a Scorsesi's movie "gangs of new york" - it was all about immigration.

Perhaps we should conduct a study?
A few hundred thousand? Me and Curm will do the study. Where is the gravy train of money? Politicians do it all the time

Once Dan Ward is elected he'll go with the flow as status quo as all the rest of them do.
