Seeing hillary didn't create all the jobs they were going to.. and I think the partnership didn't hit thier 50,000 job goal... what is better for WNY

as examples:

30,000 $125,000 year jobs?
50,000 $60,000 year jobs?
or

100,000 $25,000 year jobs?

What is the sweet spot in everyones opinion in the average salaried job that would boost the area up the most?

i think 100,000 blue-collar jobs at $25K per year would be good for this region. it gives the largest amount of people with no/little college education a good opportunity. and if a husband and wife were to both get jobs of this nature, then they can easily afford a house and provide for a family.

if you want to concentrate on professional, salaried postions then i think even 15,000 positions at $60K would be great. of course, i'm not sure if there are 15,000 unemployed professionals currently in WNY, but that many professional positions would draw a lot of new people into the area.

I'm thinking more of what type of jobs to focus on. If there was a database of people formed with the hourly wage these people will work for and the task, companies could figure out thier cost of doing business and plan.

You need a plan to produce a product that will need 5000 employees. If you had a work for that would work for 25,000 a year and be dedicated you could plan for the future. Only bonues would be given out based on profit of the company. No BS guaranteed anything. You work hard your rewarded..

Perhaps a union would say hey! force them to pay you 30,000 plus the world, there's probally a lot of people that would say go away we would rather have a profitable company and a job.

make sense?

Yes it make tons of sence. But I would like these fictional jobs to pay 30,000. The median annual income for the US is 37,000.
Lets at least try to stay on track with the nation. We were left behind in the 90's lets not let that happen again.

That's 37k a year without ridiculous taxes and energy/fuel costs.

So, if Buffalo wants to keep up with the Joneses of the nation, the average income in Buffalo should be closing in on 45k.

$30,000 would be fine. I have makde between $30,000 upwards of $90,000 and know over all you can live on $30,000 in WNY. YOU may not have SUV's, a new home in amherst, but a average family can do it.

Remember we are slanted here seeing we have this stupid monkey on our backs called the local goverment.

Exactly what happens when the city can't pay thier paychecks? Do they do an immediate fee to the people to get thier pay? Do they start to ruff us up seeing they need more money? or does reality hit and they realize they have milked us long enough?

What do you think of the ECWA staying quiet about the curruption there. I would say the judge that put the gag order on is involved too. THat would of been an excellent example for a way to better wasteful spending on the county level.

How about 250,000 $5.50 per hour jobs ($11,440 per year). That's what most available jobs pay in our area. We are the next slave labor area of the world if the corporations have their way. Even a $7.00 entry level position will get you $14,560. This is why I'm self employed the last 7+years in WNY.

You need $20. hr. just to get by with a family now. That would be $41,600 Yr.

We need to strive for the type of jobs that allow moms to stay home. Since the family unit has been broken up you have noticed the lack of respect in general from the newer groups of kids on the streets.
