Just don't call it a sport. Shooting defenseless animals will never be sport until the deer can shoot back.
THAT(!) would be a sport!

I just cant do it - I dont harrass anyone for hunting responsibly, its just not in my blood - my husband used to hunt and honestly aside from time, I dont know why he still doesnt - he used to love it!! I told him from the start, I dont like it, I wont have any part of it, I wont promote it and I wont condone it for myself- but if its what you like to do, you should enjoy it.... I also wont badger him about it if he wants to go, he knows how I feel and how I dont care if he wants to do it, it just isnt for ME personally. He hates to travel , I travel with friends all the time - what works for one, doesnt work for the other - although those are beautiful pics - I would love to see those guys in my yard!!!!!!!!!!!!! youre a lucky guy!!!

I agree.
I have no problem, morally, with anyone shooting deer, but of you want to be a real man, hunt for something that may actually attack you back.
Shooting peaceful animals in the back doesn't make anyone a man. Or, a sport, of any kind.

I recommend :)
Solid based boat tail design delivers excellent long range accuracy. In .22 calibers, the Ballistic plastic polycarbonate Silvertip® bullet initiates rapid fragmentation.
In medium to larger calibers special jacket contours extend range and reduce cross-wind drift. Harder lead core ensures proper bullet expansion.

I bagged a 10 point prime rib today at Sams.No muss no fuss no added expense. I went to a deer camp for 10 years never bagged a thing. Card Whiskey and a walk in the woods. Oh and out of the house for a week sweet.

What sport would that be where you get to shoot at things that shoot back? Paintball? Why is big game hunting not a sport? Takes more skill then a lot of other "sports". We are at the top of the food chain for a reason, more people should take advantage. Not to get all political but there needs to be less restrictions on hunting, such as a age a kid could hunt. I dont need the government telling me when my kids old enough to go hunting. I know my kids better then they do. I bagged my first deer when I was 9. Learned about guns and hunting safety long before. Never had the desire to "play" with guns because I knew my daddy would take me hunting whenever I wanted. Learned a lot about myself sitting in the woods just waiting, often not seeing a thing but loving every minute of it. Don't tell me what makes a man. Peaceful animals like cows? Pigs? Fish? Don't be a hyprocrite. Peaceful animals taste very good. Not to mention all the deer meat that have been donated to shelters. I consider it a sport. It takes years of practice and being in the field to be good at it.

SEDALIA, Mo. — A Sedalia hunter bagged a big buck on the second day of firearms season, but the kill caused him a lot of pain.
Forty-nine-year-old Randy Goodman said he thought two well-placed shots with his .270-caliber rifle had killed the buck on Nov. 19. Goodman said the deer looked dead to him, but seconds later the nine-point, 240-pound animal came to life.
The buck rose up, knocked Goodman down and attacked him with his antlers in what the veteran hunter called "15 seconds of hell." The deer ran a short distance and went down, and died after Goodman fired two more shots.
Soon Goodman started feeling dizzy and noticed his vest was soaked in blood.
So he reached his truck and drove to a hospital, where he received seven staples in his scalp and was treated for a slight concussion and bruises.
