View Full Version : Kevin Hardwick on WBEN

Let me state that I like Mr. Hardwick's radio talk show on WBEN on Sunday.
After listening to Kevin Hardwick Sunday and today on WBEN urging that the finical bailout be approved. I wonder if he has a vested interest with the bailout being approved. He states that the public will no longer be able to get student loans to pay for their collage education. Could his self interest be that his or his fellow workers job's may be in jeopardy. Maybe the cost of going to college is overpriced and these educators should take a pay cut.
I also think Fannie May and Freddie Mac should be shut down. Let the free market prevail.

Why would anyone have an issue getting a loan for school if they have good credit? Could it be people don't want to loan people money who don't pay it back?

That seems to be the universal idea with any loan lately. Don't worry about paying any loan back. Look for the government to pay it off.

Why would anyone have an issue getting a loan for school if they have good credit? Could it be people don't want to loan people money who don't pay it back? The problem is res , the de-regulation & subsequent gov't laws forced the lending institutions to give people loans (mostly for home mortgages) who could not afford them in the so-called "red-line" districts , thus creating so many defaults or people just stop paying as they didn't have the means & the houses depreciated instead of appreciating..........this same principle has applied to all types of loans.........it's the BS "entitlements" sh*t again , give to those who want what we work for...........they think they deserve the same.........& sad part is we will wind up paying for this gov't (all the libs/conservs/dems/repubs) , & the banks , lenders , lendees , etc. poor judgement & hindsight.......

I didn't like the fact that Chris Collins was on Mr. Hardwick's show on Sunday, talking about how he appointed Mr. Hardwick to a tri-county anti-something-or-other board. He should not be on boards appointed by any politician if he wants to be a politician talk show host.

No matter who you are or what your political standing, it is still all about ME. His job at Canisius College definitely influenced his comment about the student loans. My position is clear and I am not in line with most of the posters on SUWNY...NO BAIL OUT! I am disappointed in McCain, Bush and Obama for supporting it!

Heard on the radio today.
Additions to the bail out bill:
Some new health bill that the Democrats like.
Some new energy credits that the Republicans like.
I wonder if those people who can't pay their mortgages will still have to pay?

Just useless... attaching more crap to the cost of everything.

Mr. Hardwick should invite Mr. Higgins on the show this coming Sunday, and ask him why he voted in favor of the bailout when 40% of his fellow Democrats knew it was the wrong thing to do............................

I think it would be fun to get a long time Politician posting on the boards for a day or two... Bribe them.. I mean pay them a few hundred for their time and let them defend their actions.
That would be fun...
My first question :) Why are you wasting our communities time? DOn't you have something better to do?

Bribe them? They should do it as a service to their community. The internet is such a wonderful instrument, wouldn't you agree?

I'm incognito. I can be any politician you want. And I bet I can say exactly what they would say. Pick me and tell me who you want me to be.

Totally... but think about this...
You know those guys that run the political parties that endorse these characters? They won't even register and post to defend their endorsements...
We have Lenny L, Jim D (I haven't formed an opinion about him yet) and some guy that "summers" in Florida...We'll refer to him as Mr. O. :)
Lenny and Mr O need that question... why are you wasting our community's time.
