The Praying mantis

Found it on a hummingbird feeder and placed him on a bush.

Sure did!

This spot here is like a big bug community. :) That little patch of reeds has all kinds of stuff living in it. The spider was on one of the potted plants earlier this year.

The praying mantis is a really nice bug, I also like the lady bugs they eat aphids off the plants.

Canon Rebel XTI along with a canon 100mm 2.8 Macro Lens...

I will get a 70-200 2.8 once my car is finished :) Priorities :)

what kind of spider was that? do you know for sure? anyone???

At that angle, it's hard to tell, but with what looks like a yellow/black/white abdomen, I'm fairly certain it's an Orb Weaver.
