Sadly, a true "Chautauqua County institution" is no more with the passing of Manley Anderson, a reporter for 52 years for the Jamestown Post-Journal, on July 2, 2008, at his daughter's home in Nevada.

I only knew Manley for a few short years as one of my fellow "dog walkers" at Bergman Park where he would walk his "borrowed" pup, Marley, nearly every day, including in the winter.
Reporter, dog walker, outdoorsman, world traveler ... Manley was a great person, and we will all miss him.
