Lottery: A tax on people who are bad at math.

Did someone mention the lottery? Along with all of our questions about where the money has gone--I would like to know why the lottery money, which was to be used to enhance education in New York State, is used now as part of the budget and relied on as a part of NYS budget, much as taxes. The monies were to be for special projects over and above the normal cost for this state. As a matter of fact, the lottery was pushed through on this premise. When and how did this happen?
New York State has more than paid to be the most beautiful, best educated, most bountiful state in the union, with every amenity that money could buy. Tuitions should be low, parks and thruways free, insurance of all kinds affordable and benefits for all.
The international bridge was held up, not because of the difference in opinion of style or size, but because someone smelled money. It was originally supposed to cost $40 million , paid for by the feds, employing Buffalo citizens to be the major part of the force, and using some procucts from Buffalo. Now there are countless people with their hands reaching into the pockets of the fund for this bridge.

GOod point about the lottery. Anyone ever notice how they market the lottery? Seems really misleading, criminal is some aspects.

Thier commercials almost sound like you "can't" lose if your play the lottery.

I would love to see a list of "lottery" commisioners and the payroll attached to it.
