Does anyone know if there's been any bomb threats in the Ken-Ton schools this year?

I have not heard of any. The "lock down in place" policy I think has deterred those who were looking to disrupt the day and get off of school grounds.
The last numbskull they caught misspelled bomb...

What is the "lock down in place" policy?

Instead of bussing the kids off site to another local school - Ken West to Kenmore Middle, for example, the protocol is to lock down and everyone stays where they are when the threat is received. It is the preferred method according to ATF officials and FBI officials when consulted by the Town. It also removes all the fun - classes are not as disrupted, there is no travel time and loss of class time, so the "perceived benefit" is not there when the little delinquents scrawl a message on the bathroom wall. The cost savings per incident is between $13,000-16,000.
Since this new policy, enacted jsut before exams last year, I do not believe we have had any more threats. :D
