I expect to see a book from Condoleeza Rice sometime next year. A revelation of sorts.
I can't believe the reaction of pundits, ex Bush aids, the media, all disapproving of McClellan's new book. He says nothing new or surprising. Nor am I surprised to see one of Bush's former 'friends' turn against him;
"Rice: Bush administration was clear about Iraq war
By MATTHEW LEE, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 1 minute ago
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Thursday rejected allegations from a former White House spokesman who says the Bush administration misled the American public into going to war with Iraq.

Rice would not comment specifically on charges made by ex-press secretary Scott McClellan in a new book, but said President Bush was honest and forthright about the reasons for the war. She also said she remained convinced that toppling Saddam Hussein was right and necessary.
"The president was very clear about the reasons for going to war," she told reporters at a news conference with Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt in Stockholm where she is attending an international conference on Iraq.
Chief among those reasons was the belief, shared widely before the war, that Saddam Hussein had or was developing weapons of mass destruction, Rice recalled, suggesting the international community shouldn't have backed harsh sanctions against Iraq if it doubted the threat..."

Funny how Dems always think that a disgruntled republican is telling the whole truth when they come out with tell all books.
Yet when they come out about Democrats the books and the authors go through a denial and destruction phase until the Democrats are satisfied they can deny all stories in the books.
Try reading "Dereliction of duty." The truth behind Bill Clintons failure to secure Osama. Truth as told by a service man, who dems say they support whole heartedly, as he served as the Presidents aid and carrier of the Nuclear football. Talk about inside information.
How about how fast they tried to discredit the truths told by the swift boat gang. The Dems couldn't let that go by without discrediting each individual in the book and the authors intent.
Anytime the Dems are attacked for their imperfections we are not able to discuss those because the dems refuse to even address the issues. Nothing new the dems vote for presidents who have no issue positions that are clear.
Dems won't stand up for anything other than their own power hungry appetites to rule the people of this country with iron fists of laws that bind and hinder freedom at every corner.
Right now The republicans seem to want to do the same thing so we are screwed no matter who is elected.
Both parties pandering to special interests that taken individually do amount to a hill of beans. Yet it is the combined efforts of those groups that the parties are now trying to sway.
This is a putrid election cycle this time around and all off America is going to be worse of then before no matter who is elected.

There is nothing more that I can add to that statement.

Why are you wasting your time railing against the Democrats?
If you want to get super-partisian, just admit that the Dems are impotent and that the neo-cons/Republicans have been running this nation during Bush's two stolen elections.
Sure, I listen to "lefty" 1520 AM because the news is honest which is a breath of fresh air
But I've lost faith in ALL politicians from BOTH major "partys"
I've no illusions that Obama or Hillary can "save" the United States. They are Democrats by title, but would be corporate puppets by action, just like the republicans
I no longer support Obama.
After seeing the Democratic party put on the show of "trying to help the common man," I've begun the process of trying taking party affiliation away from
the way I view our modern political process because it really IS "all about the money." Nothing more.
Nothing less.
Dems, Republicans and Independents are all filth.
Its just nice to hear ex-higher ups giving us a glimpse into the workings of a "Presidency" shrouded in secrecy under the guise of "protecting us"
So I guess that McClellan is just another of DOZENS
of "disgruntled" employees?

She is garbage just like the rest of that smoke and mirrors administration. All should be thrown in Gitmo where they could rot the rest of their lives.

Rice is one cold-blooded bit-h.
She even LOOKS mean.
When "Condi" comes out with her book about the
Bush Administration,
it'll be titled,
'I Sold My Soul And Betrayed My Nation':
A Memoir Of Pride, Patriotism And Profit."
Wonder why so many ex-Bush admn workers are bashing their former bosses?
Its not as though ANY politician or department head/ appointee is going to be prosecuted in the near or far future for crimes committed while in office!
McClellan never had to write a tell-all book!
Oh...Profit from the book's sales...Money...
McClellan did not have a "change of heart or conscience"...My bad.
Look at the S-eating grin on Libby's smug face!

I think this is just the beginning. Many high profile political leaders are going to be doing a certain amount of laundry airing, sometimes at the behest of their attorney. Whether it's true or not is irrelevant. It's not a historical thesis or study, it's a memoir. Simply put, the world according to worst liar to ever call himself the White House Press Secretary (marginally competent WH Press Secretaries are fantastic liars, btw.) People can argue and vet the facts as presented in the book and probably will, in fact I can think of more than a few that will. But the shrill crying and vapors from the likes of Rice and company is meaningless except to disagree with McClellan's opinion about how things went down.
Though I'm sure we will see more and more books like this. Probably from some of the same people who are currently outraged at Scotty for taking a swipe at them. The potential liability of what this administration done has got to scare more than a few of them. While most will hold on strong and loyal, those not married to the movement or who are not in the mood to have to be particularly mindful of what foreign countries they visit and their respective extradition treaties are going start makin' some distance and start thinking about the future, instead of their loyalty to what has becoming a self-perpetuating disaster of unmitigated proportions. "Success" is not, by any measure (right, left, moderate, whatever,) going to be a word used to describe the Bush Administration. Some of these people are going to have to have careers after Dubya's term ends.

Just another rat jumping warrior king bush jr's sinking turd boat, trying to clear his name.
I laughed my behind off yesterday when the pill junkie radio host on a certain AM station stated Scott was probably brainwashed by the left!!! What a moron, lol!!!!:D
Yep that's what happened. Now better get some bottled water, duct tape, plastic sheeting, batteries, etc... and tune into fox.
Remember that other fool and his looney show and tell of weapons labs at the U.N.?

I'd really like to think of McClellan's turning on his former masters a trend that will continue because the grand plans of the Bush administration are falling apart; We will never invade Iran; Our troops will come home from Iraq, ect.
Regardless of the FACT that military experts backed by the Bu$h administration appeared on the major networks spouting pure propaganda, misleading the public
That does not include the unknown number of expert plants on the networks propagandizing to dismiss Global Warming and other high priority issues
I'd love to see all those in this adminstration who've committed crimes against their nation and mankind, face a judge and jury.
That's not "lefty crap" that's simple justice.
But no. These days, "the bad guys usually win."
The networks and newspapers will downplay the "government planted propagandists,"
Rice will come out with HER version of what happened" as will other neo-con liars, we'll get a new puppet in November and America's destiny will continue slowly grinding downhill
But I'm a cynic. A fatalist. A total pessimist.
Maybe enough "rats will jump ship" finally letting the public truly see how horribly they've been misled and lied to throughout two stolen elections, rule by fear and-
And if Karl Rove wrote a "tell all book" Bush's scummy ship and the next President would "stay the course" set during the last eight years.
