Colleen Hitchcock
Colleen graduated from the National K9 School of Dog Trainers, is a certified professional trainer, and an accredited Canine Good Citizen instructor, and a Certified Dog Trainer through the IACP

The staff there is skilled, helpful, friendly and willing to answer any and all questions I have. And best of all my dogs LOVE going there. When I say Colleen, they bolt for the back door tripping over each other to try to get to the car.

Canine Academy was highly recommended to me.

I met with Colleen with one of my foster dogs who had poor social skills. She was wonderful during her evalutation and gave me some tips. We never made it to the class because he was adopted. I am waiting to get the right foster dog to take to her class.

My vet had recommended her, as well.

I know Sheryl. She has been with the SPCA for a long time now. She recently opened her own business. She's very good as well.

I was just passing through, and thought I would make a comment.

I have used Tyler Muto 636-3600 for large aggressive dogs

and Miranda Workman at Purfect Paw 465-6555 for just about any behavior/training question.

I think the other recommendations mentioned are good as well and have familiarity with them.

I think it is important to interview your perspective trainer/behaviorist, make sure that they jibe with you...remember you are also going to be trained. Everybody learns differently. Make sure the trainer has dealt with and is comfortable dealing with your particular issues.

Does anyone know of anyone who does lessons during the day? I have an australian/border collie mix who is just yearning for training. Somewhere in the Southtowns would be best. Thanks !!

Yes, for a time I believe they were together on Sheridan drive, but parted ways, wish them both the best. I think it was a couple of years ago.

I thought so. I'll say no more.
