His failure on this issue, and in this speech, is that he fails to transcend race. Yes, the issue of such extreme language by his pastor does have a context in which it relates to race, certain black churches.
But he needed to defend, or at least legitimize such extreme feelings about America, these unpatriotic statements, that transcended race, and didn't just keep to the politics of race. Because the issue here is not race-- anything otherwise would be a distraction. The issue here is hateful language about America; language that can, and has, come from mouths of all different colors and peoples.

Hillary supporters are funny. Why is it that every post I read I can hear her shrieking and cackling. For all of the noise her supporters are making over this big bag 'o nothing, perhaps they should ask Ms. Hillary if her first executive order could be to hang Mr. Obama and Mr. Wright from the highest tree. On second thought, that might come across as racist. Nevermind.
