....that Delano was doing stuff that he shouldn't have been doing.
Let me know if it matters that he released tapes when he was specifically told not to.
Cause, I'll jump on the bandwagon with the rest of you, either way. He seems like a good guy.
Just let me know if it matters.

And, just keep in mind that if any other cop broke the rules, there would be threads on this very message board, calling for his badge.

It does matter when it is the wrong thing to do for all the wrong reasons.
Yet many are trumpeting whistle blowers from the war and the Bush Administration right here on this MB?

So if a whistle blower in Buffalo is bad, why aren't all whistle blowers bad?

Sometimes doing something wrong is the right thing to do.

Hell if others inside the government of WNY and NYS would open their mouths we might not have the piece of crap governance we have today.

Ethically he did the right thing.

He didn't "break" a law that harmed anyone in anyway.

Ken Case will be the new DA because of this.

If you "do the wrong thing for the right reason" you sorta have to do it expecting some repercussions don't you?

IF Delano violated dept regs then the dept did the "right" thing following their procedures.

Its up to the media, the public, the PBA and lawyers to influence what the ultimate outcome will be.

Is BPD wrong for punishing someone who violated regulations? Id say no. Its the severity of the punishment in light of the circumstances that will be interesting to see.

There's so much crap that goes on in local government/departments this is the least of thier worries.

I heard on channel two something about... "we can't have our departments integrity harmed.." something like that. What BS. Like this is the least of thier worries about integrity.
