I had to fend for myself tonight...

This was cool...

Frozen Pizza....

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyolm/6051226016/" title="IMG01940-20110816-1851.jpg by tonyolm, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6069/6051226016_d96b5b2a47.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="IMG01940-20110816-1851.jpg"></a>

Way easy instructions...

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyolm/6051222930/" title="IMG01941-20110816-1852.jpg by tonyolm, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6203/6051222930_3abbe34c66.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG01941-20110816-1852.jpg"></a>

Comes neaty packed...

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyolm/6050671791/" title="pizza by tonyolm, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6078/6050671791_aeebfd5208.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="pizza"></a>

I followed the instructions...

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyolm/6051254492/" title="IMG01943-20110816-1907.jpg by tonyolm, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6078/6051254492_6957d25089.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG01943-20110816-1907.jpg"></a>

And ended up with this:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyolm/6051325214/" title="IMG01948-20110816-1937.jpg by tonyolm, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6071/6051325214_2687f52814.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG01948-20110816-1937.jpg"></a>

It was pretty good...

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyolm/6050872061/" title="IMG01949-20110816-2019.jpg by tonyolm, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6185/6050872061_d57c531cbf.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG01949-20110816-2019.jpg"></a>

I don't know how many servings it was supposed to be.. but one was enough.

I like the red baron personal sized peperoni for when I need a pizza fix and don't feel like ordering a full size pizza from bocce or leonardis

I think it was 7 bucks... what do pizzas from those places cost?

Hi WNYresident,
I tried frozen pizza last year and didn't liked it. Didn't remember the brand name but I like DIGIORNO frozen pizza specially the baked picture and I will try it soon.

Read what's in them... and the nutrition stats. Spend the extra 15 minutes and make one from scratch.

They are not good for you.. most processed food isn't.

Next time I'll see if they make a "healthy" version of a pizza in the frozen food section.

I don't know too many people that eat pizza, of any kind, for healthy reasons. Pizza is one of those just plain good every so often foods. Or it's for pure convenience. Or both.
I'm kinda' fixated on grilled pizza for the moment :)

I think we're having it again tonight. I bought 2 more pizza stones for a buck a piece at a garage sale today :)
A cookie sheet will do on the grill if you don't have a pizza stone.
I've tried it several ways:
Price Rite has a garlic flat bread that makes an excellent crust for pizza on the grill.
Frozen pizza dough is very good. Again, from Price Rite
Price Rite also has Jiffy (in a box) pizza dough. I'm trying that tonight.
Price Rite also has pizza sauce, Margaretta pepperoni and shredded mozzarella.
The only thing, spice wise, I add is Italian herbs - it's the grinder one from McCormick.
Pillsbury has a ready made pizza dough next to the dinner rolls in the store. It's sweeter than the frozen pizza dough. It's also rectangular, which only makes a difference depending on what the size and shape the pan/stone you are using.
I've made regular cheese and pepperoni pizzas and taco pizzas - both came out great on the grill.
Tonight I'm making one cheese and pepperoni and a pizza with ricotta cheese and spinach. I hope they turn out okay.

Enjoy your pizzas on the grill :)

I looked up healthy frozen pizza and this site came up

Tasty, Healthy Pizza Choices

Once, your only options were sinfully delicious delivery and sad, soggy frozen pies. Not anymore. We scavenged the freezer aisles to find the tastiest and healthiest choices. Our picks:

Stouffer's Lean Cuisine Deep Dish Margherita Pizza
Per pie: 320 calories, 9g fat, 2.5g saturated fat, 4g fiber

The fresh-tasting sauce has real diced tomatoes. Plus, the pseudo-metallic cooking surface actually produces a crisp, golden, deep-dish-style crust.

DiGiorno Harvest Wheat Thin Crispy Crust Supreme Pizza
Per slice: 250 calories, 8g fat, 3.5g saturated fat, 4g fiber

If you have time to wait for an oven-baked pie, DiGiorno delivers a delicious made-with-whole-grains alternative to the standard white-flour crust.

South Beach Diet Harvest Wheat Crust Pepperoni Pizza
Per pie: 350 calories, 12g fat, 4.5g saturated fat, 9g fiber

So it's a little higher in fat. The full-size slices of pepperoni, the evenly melted cheese, and the impressive nine grams of fiber are worth it.

Amy's Whole Wheat Crust Pizza Cheese & Pesto
Per slice: 360 calories, 18g fat, 4g saturated fat, 2g fiber

Pesto is a tasty twist. But beware: Organic means you're probably steering clear of pesticides and growth hormones, but it doesn't mean low-fat.
