Who want to slam the fire companies; I want to see your applications to join and sacrifice what all these volunteers sacrifice, day in and day out for this community. LOOK FORWARD TO READING YOUR APPLICATIONS!

Don't be disheartened PVFCEMS- there are people that appreciate firefighters and EMS workers. However, there are also people who have opinions which they are free to air under their rights as citizens. And firefighters can carry the same opinions and back up their information to support their opinions.
Wooo them with facts, and give them no reason to question your integrity. When you argue with nasty words, your credibility is lessened.
So in short, get your facts to support your stance, but make certain they are facts, and not just opinions, or opinions of others believed to be facts. Cite sources.
It is people's rights to have opinions, and my opinion is the Emergency Services organizations play an intregral role in making Boston a safe community.
Some people are threatened when others think out of the box, that is plain to see.....

War your an officer? you have got to be kidding me!!!

and NO and I am not a Patchin Fire Person and never would join a organization with a dictator at the helm and officers like yourself.

I would say your days are numbered with the half a million dollars in debt.

but then again I am sure the town will bail the Patchin Fire Company out of debt with pluto and hawkins on the board now.

During a history channel documentary about this man (few days ago), it was explained why the Mafioso became the paradigm in Sicily and spread. Sicilians became a very hardend group of people over many years and generations because of all the times (scores and maybe 100's) their Island was attacked, people slaughtered, and dictators ruled. That group of relatively happy, optimistic, libertarian, principled, and ethical people could never "trust" any authority, because most of the time the authority came from another culture and imposed that other cultures ways and persecuted.

Do you see a similarity when compared to WNY? The area has been screwed over by corruption and ego for so long, some people have become so hardend, they fight each other which hinders productivity and now "all" share in the lack of properity.

Whether my Sicilian story is 100% accurate or not, it doesnt matter. The point is, "learn" from histories cycles and trends and prosper without fighting each other.

Now, I would personally NOT recommend a church, because that crap distorts reality. But a friggin' fire hall is a great place to teach your fat, lazy, and punked children basic skills of human prosperity. I admit its not for everyone, but the people who wouldnt like a fire hall lifestyle, its ridiculous to try and repress those that do.

I posted this in another thread where a bunch of blowhards were bitching at each other over a fire company.

"Im not familiar with the specifics of your area, but it is my understanding that the modern firehall designs also serve as an investment in attracting and keeping volunteers. Halls in Amherst, Clarence, Swormsville, etc... have media rooms, health club style work out fascilities, and indoor motor vehicle wash bays. Now that might blow the lids off off you political micromanagers, but dont you think something like that, as well as Essentials training is a healthy long term idea for children, the individual, and the community?

Also, when the volunteer members are spending more time hanging out at the hall, response times and the numbers of people who respond, go UP. And at least there is an alternative to drinking off a public keg.

Some Fire Companies also have racing teams. Whats wrong with this?"

Patchin has an Explorer program, an exercise facility that other fire company's are allowed to use, along with a new training tower and soon to be in operation live burn building. The micromanagers in this town just don't like the fact that the fire companies will move forward and continue to provide this town with top notch emergency services now and forever!

I was only replying to the individual who was thanking us firefighters. No one else has said that on here. I figured someone had to let him/her know that theyre reply had not gone unnoitced.
