No I wont I don't trust the present City Administration. I feel that any money collected will somehow be used for other agendas.
An example of the Mayor's deceitfulness is his refusal to refund the application fee charged to the applicants who took the Buffalo Police exam.
The Mayor's aide sarcastic remark was blame "the Bush Administration Department of Justice."

No way Jose.
This is a government function. If he can't take care of this, without double dipping into the wallets of taxpayers, then he has no business being mayor.

Mayor "Hands-Out" Brown is a puppet and Steve Casey is pulling the strings. Its amazing that a moron like this can become a president, oops I meant Mayor. Burn the eastside down and then we can relocate downtown.

Well there is a rift begining in the Democratic party for control. You have the Brown side of things and the Lenny L side of things. It's gonna make an interesting show once the grab for control begins.

I love how Lord Byron retorts, public criticism demeans the city
REALLY IRONIC ISNT IT, THAT PUBLIC CRITICISM DEMEANING THE CITY DIDNT SEEM TO BE A VALID ARGUMENT BY THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY DURING THE COUNCIL DOWNSIZING OR DURING THE MANY BARBS FROM PITTS, EVE OR ROD WATSON (ETC)
IF YOUR A MINORITY THEN NO CRITICISM IS VALID OR PATRIOTIC OF THEIR CITY
IF YOUR A CAUCASION THEN EVERY ACCUSATION IS FREE SPEECH AND AN EXCERSIZE OF LIBERTY
AHH...THE TRYANNY OF THE MINORITY PLAYS OUT YET AGAIN!
Isnt politically correct speech by socialist liberals wonderful? You gotta love it.

Mayor Brown is just another fool in a long succession of morons. I love how he trumps his own horns on the Government Channel and at CitiStat meetings.
Does this jackass remember that Councilmember Golombek was the party who brought CitiStat to Buffalo, not Brown! I get a kick out it being dubbed "Mayor Brown's CitiStat Buffalo" and how he has "Honorable" in front of his name on every show. What a dusche.
Don't even get me started with that assh#le Steven Casey. This guy tries to ask questions for the "normal person". His only thing is to bash Matarese at every turn and to kiss the bosses ass every scene. Then him and that Corporation Counsel, those two should just get a room.
Face it, Mayor Brown is as inept as any other politician.

Why in sam hills should we donate money to take care of getting rid of houses that were left abandon???? The city should have had a database with tax records and people who did not pay taxes on homes shoudl have been flagged for track down and prosecute.
the old we did not know excuse really doesn't apply with all of todays technology.
Oh yea, forgot..... NO WAY IN HELL!

Do you consider brown in the same league as Keane?

Well, I don't consider him in the same league as Keane. Mayor Brown appears, to me, to be politically naive and a little too flexible. He also could use a course in economics. But I think he's good intentioned and intelligent.

What's the quote.....
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions"
As for his intelligence, they don't call him an empty suit for nothing.

Registration is only required for non-owner occupied one- and two- family homes.
On July 6, 2004 an Ordinance under Chapter 264 – Licensing of Rental Housing Business – was passed unanimously by the Common Council and went into effect.
This is the only thing that really sucks.....
Q: Are there any fees?
A: Yes.
The fees are as follows – Non-owner occupied:
Single $20 / year
Two Unit $40 / year
If the fees were upped (lets say) 10x the amount, a non-occupied property owner might think twice about allowing it turn into "slum" status.
Of course there are inspection fees to consider....
Q: Will there be inspection fees?
A: The initial inspection and the first re-inspection are free. Any and all subsequent inspections to assure compliance shall cost $75.00 per inspection.
Every non-owner occupied one and two- family dwelling must be registered, that being.... COB property owners register their property for (upto) $40, get two free inspections in 10 years (cuz residents don't report the proprty/assuming someone else did it/easier to complain vs. doing something about it/etc..) the end result is 100 "non-owner occupied" properties registering thier property for $40 and being able to "ditch it" for as long as free inspections run out.
That being....
Q: What will trigger an inspection of the property?
A: Any of the following will also result in an inspection being performed:
a) Complaint received
b) The registration certificate being revoked
c) The property has been found to be abandoned (see "a)" )
d) The property owner has unpaid taxes or user fees
e) The property has excessive exterior violations (see "a)" )
Enough to answer your question?
