My sister told me the other day that she had just gotten out of health class and the teacher told her that we now officially have the highest rate of STD's in the state.


I'll be looking for info about it.....

Thats only because there are only 4 people left and 2 have Stds

Statistically....NYC a city of what 8 million would need 4 million of them to have stds just to be statistically equal.

Since when did any health teacher know any real facts? It sounds like a scare tactic. But just in case, it is all the more reason to go to cananda to find a sex partner. STD's are everywhere, In fact most of the people that have them, don;t even know they do. That;s why you always use a rubber, that and you know the chick will forget her birth control again. woops, I am pregnant.

I would check with the NYS Department of Health; the Niagara County Health Department and/or the local Planned Parenthood. They would have the true statistics & facts on the topic.

Theres a guy that goes all around the county teaching kids about std's, sex and abstinence, and he visited her health class and told the kids about it.

I bet he tells the kids in each town he visits that their town is the one with the highest STD rates just to scare them into abstinence or practicing safer sex.

I dont think so, I remember when I had him that he said it was high, but it wasnt the highest in the state......

Last I heard, Baltimore was tops in the country...but that was a few years ago.

I remember hearing in the early 90s that Niagara County had a high/the highest rate of teen pregnancy.

I did some research on that a few years ago, we have the highest rates for gonorrhea!

Gee, maybe if people had jobs (even *gasp* entry level jobs!) they would be spending more time earning money and job skills and less time spreading STDs.

Niagara Falls doesn't seem to have many obstructionists in their area, so the lack of development there must be for other reasons. Maybe developers see the stats of poverty, vacant homes and buildings, etc. and stay away.

By the way Funky, I still hope you become NF's mayor someday.
