Just thought that this might be interesting food for thought in the Lancaster section as election season nears.

Most of Cheektowaga's incumbents have challengers. This bar is located on the Cheekotwaga side of Depew, therefore Lancaster has little to do with it.

As for the politics, the town of Lancaster and the previous Village government were close in many aspects. Cipolla had more influence in the village than the town.
He lost that influence and is now seeking to get his talons more into the town. The town assessor's position is up for reappointment and if Montour wins the Justice position, there will be an appointment to fill his board position.
The rumor was that Neil Connelly, former board member, was to be appointed. Now the word is that a Cipolla lackey who served on the village board is being considered - the same guy that walked away from completing installation of the town's GIS system.
It will be interesting to see who gets the assessor's appointment in October and whether that individual has a close past history with Cipolla!
