Government pension plans are bankrupting taxpayers

I wish The News would run a story on the taxpayer burden to fund pension and benefits packages for federal, state, city and county workers. With all of the budget problems facing the city, county and state, it amazes me that there is never a mention of cutting contributions to employee pension plans.
I am sure readers would be shocked to find out what these retirement packages consist of, especially for members of Congress.
