the Lodge Restaurant has just closed
It's been a bad year for Elma
First, Mc Crathy Ford closed, then it was the announced
that the Motorola plant will be closed in 4th quarter of 2007
and Cyrs Drug store would be closing soon,

Isn't that where the girl who called WGRZ wanted to have her wedding?

She lost her deposit because they closed and she's getting married in 2 weeks.

They did a special about her to see if any other hall could do the wedding.

It is sad. When it was the Old Log Cabin, it was one of my favorite places. We went there often. Then it became The Lodge and things went downhill. The food was not very good, the menu was pretty sparse, and every time we went in there, it was empty but the service was very slow and the food cold. After a few visits, we just stopped going there. :(

It kind of bums me out, because I remember when it was the Log Cabin, you would have to wait for a table in that little entry way. After if became the Lodge, a few times we walked in at peak hours and there was no one in the place. We had wondered if the place was even open. The only reason it took any time getting a table was trying to cough or "yoo hoo" loud enough to get someone to come out of the back to seat us. Well, maybe someone will take the place over and do things right because I always thought the building itself was a cool place and had great atmosphere.
