Amherst stakeholder:

Again, like I said: Wow!

To me she seems like a zero (other than her special interest work for seniors).

I wouldn't give her a job. What would she be qualified to do? Sales rep, maybe? But I wouldn't want her selling my product.

Wow, never had a job. I wonder what it must be like to live like that, you know? Why would anyone want someone like that representing them? Do people actually think that she can "relate"? As I understand it now, she doesn't own a single family home either. I hear that she has a condo or apartment in Willimasville. Again, how can she relate to me the "average" homeowner? She can't.

Well, as the seniors die off, I guess she'll lose her support. I used to have a lot of respect for seniors, but if Woodward is the type of person they think is worthy, I'm not so certain they are really "with it".

So looking back at the elected officials in NYS and WNY a lot of them fit this model. No real experience in the real business world just a life of brown nosing to move up the political ladder. Maybe that's why we get a lot of promises with very little results.

Do voters ever think about issues like this? A life long political helper moving up in positions which they are not qualified to hold?

All the other politicians have to support them seeing that's how the system works.

Sad part is the politicians supporting them are just as unqualified in real work experience as the people they support.

I'll endorse you if you endorse me crap. Oh and this is supported further by the "Political" party bosses to an extent.

since when isn't working in government not a "job". if you are good at it, the voters can give you a promotion, at you move up the polical ladder. if you aren't, the voters can fire you. just because someone isn't an expert in offshoring jobs to india, like so many in the business world are able to do, doean't mean they aren't working a job.

if business experience equals good politician, like you are suggesting, i suggest ken lay for president.

It's a good point.

It takes more guts to run for office than to take a 9-5 job and collect a paycheck every week, knowing that you'll most likely continue to collect that check as long as you don't screw up terribly.

ONly issue is we can only fire you every 4 years. Sometimes it's needed sooner than waiting a 4 year cycle. PLus it's the replacement issues. We have the same basic two parties giving use the candidates. OH and a third party recommending one of hte two candidates the political parties throw at us.
