The stone memorial to 20 sons of Riverside and Black Rock who died in World War I had stood guard in Riverside Park since 1922, impervious to the wind, rain and snow blowing in from the Niagara River.

They state it may of been taken for it's copper content. You would think the person buying it would notice it was from a monument.
