May 21,2007 intent to sell the Depew Library to Souteast Works, and knowing the restrictions on the zoning issues are just another knee jerk reaction by the Town of Lancaster board to screw the residents of Depew. The asking price of $469,000 for the building on Columbia Ave. for everyone else, but the friends of Giza get it for $400,000.00 . This sounds like the Superviors going behind close doors, like the Colecraft Building/ The New Police station on Walden- oya his friend from the IDA had his hands in that building. Judith Shanley of Southeast Community Works and board members had a illegal meeting a few weeks back and the deal was struck. $400,000.00 and it's yours, BUT you have to get the Village of Depew to change the zoning and thats your problem, not ours.
The issues are many and anyone driving down Columbia Ave. can see the upper scale homes in the area of Depew and to put a manufacturing site at the library would be wrong and lower the value of the homes in the surrounding area. Yes Manufacturing the residents and attending people that attend the Southest Works will be doing manufacturing, yes it maybe just light-manufacturing but the vehicles ( trucks -vans) will parked there and pickup and delivers on daily bases. The Southest Works has been question for some of it's actions in the past regarding the group home on Grant Street just hundreds of feet from this site, with illegal building actions and would be the fourth property that Southest would have in Depew that does not pay TAXES. The Supervisor said it would (southest works) pay special District taxes on the property, the fact is they would pay $81.00 in sewer taxes. The Village of Depew taxpayers in the Town of Lancaster pay Milllions in taxes for Giza and the Town to spend for services not render and it's time for the residents to tell Giza and this Board that you are suppose to work for us, and not just you friends.

I'm a little slow on the uptake, but how is Giza involved with this if it's Depew?

The town owns the library and the property it sits on. Depew regulates zoning laws on it and collects property taxes as it located in the village. Strange, isn't that?

Nothing !
This is exactly why DEPEW has issues . It seems Lancaster's Town Board Members have once again set it up so all DEPEW will get is NOTHING!
I just cant understand why they vote the same way every election cycle. I do understand that in the past the whole Village Government was just extensions of the Lancaster Democratic Committee. I understand J.C. financed them , as well as Lancaster's Demo-conservative Committee.
I just cant understand why the residents haven't seen the game before now. The past admins and the current Democratic Committee does not have the Ideals and principals of the Old Party - they have Hy-jacked the name.
Democrats were mostly Union Workers - Lancaster's Town Board Members have gone as far as try to by-pass the Unions when contracting to build a structure for the Town . It seems they thought up away to cut out Union labor . They figured if the contractor built what they wanted - then the Town of Lancaster would sign a lease / purchase agreement - that would allow them to hire non-union laborers .
Just the fact that Lancaster's Town Board helped hatch this plot is totally against Democratic beliefs to support the Union Worker .
Why is it that the only thing DEPEW gets is higher taxes ?
Why is it the workers trucks are parked in DEPEW and the profits from the Building boom goes to Benefit Lancaster's Government ?
Oh - Maybe Bob can make a deal with one of his construction buddies to do some paving or side walk repair for Depew - the taxpayers pay and Lancaster's Town Board Members get campaign money - BRILLIANT!;)

The Library is non tax paying property, and Depew will still not receive any taxes if Giza and Southest is a non-profit organization. The fact that the Board member of Southeast is or was on the Lancaster IDA, and a friend of Bobby G. smells of Favors and good oldboy network at work.

Just like Mr.Giza and friends did before!
Remember the Bocce Building in the Village - you know the one that now houses The Save-Allot Store and other office type spaces . Supervisor Bob Giza just happened to be on the Lancaster Industrial Development Agency when he helped a group of past and present Lancaster Town & Village Employees & Elected Officials form a "Non-For Profit" group to get your tax dollars to buy the Bocce Complex - Down Payment & loan discounts . They wont tell you who the actual paid members are - when asked they only say ' "A Arm Of the Village of Lancaster Government" owns it.
They wont disclose what compensation $$$$$$ they receive or how does this purchase by "A Arm Of the Village of Lancaster's Government"- provides any accountable income for the Village or Town Tax Paying Residents . They don't publish a "Profit / Loss statement for Public Viewing!"
So why does it seem suspicious when Bob does this again . He has pulled a bunch of " Good Real-estate deals off for friends and family over his adult Political Career .
Lets just keep re-electing Candidates from the Lancaster Friends and Family Committee -
Better known as Terry McCracken's Hijacked Lancaster Democratic Committee ! ;)

Cost figures going up and Giza and The town fathers and sister don't give a damn!!!! In the Buffalo News this morning the Southeast works has spelled out their plan for the former Library and cost to the taxpayers to do it! look at the figures and knowing that taxpayers are going to pay 99.8% of it are sicking look at the bill cost to purchase building $ 400,000 and renovations est. at $350,000.00 at 99.8% payed buy taxpayers money is $ 748,500.00 and not one tax dollar after. The 50 young and needy clients and 15 staff members are stated to live in or around Depew, Cheektowaga,or Lancaster. But no proof of residency is required, and as stated in the past Southeat is looking for more residencies and group homes in Depew. The question is why doesn't Southeast move their offices to the old Library and keep the $350,000 in the taxpayer's pockets. We all Pay for SHANLEY'S and the Town of Lancasters Fathers and sister greed. The ( 99.8%) figure comes from the Organization Exempt From Income Tax Form 990 of 2005 for Southeast works also Ms. Shanley's salary of $ 102,199 plus $16,466 total $118,665.00. The resident's of Depew have the right to share their thoughts and feelings and all the records of Southeast Works should be put on the table and to the residency, Net Assets and fund balances and understanding of the need for services for it's clients should also be consider but not the cross that Shanley's throws out of guilt. The Village of Depew carries its load of non-tax properties and has carried it's load for years.

Can I turn my company into a non profit and use it to help local community businesses expand while still collecting a nice salary?

The question is why do people let it get to them, the fact that the man lives in Depew doesn't mean a damn thing, Bob Giza doesn't care about the people of Depew went he can take care of one of his buddies. He has done it in the past and will do it in the future if reelected. Scare isn't

Supervisor Giza has publicly claimed he "Pays Depew Property taxes"
Has he been lying all these years ?
He has for years claimed a alliance with Depews past Governing Members. Thats part of the reason Depew re-elects him . He claims to "Support Depews Residents." But now that his friends were booted out - he has decided to divorce Depew and not help fix any of the issues he helped create - he loves it when he can brag about the past "Free" use of Depew's Ball Diamonds , ice rink and other Depew facilities .
But now he wont share the $400,000.00 from the Depew Library sale - so Depew can repair and continue to maintain those facilities.
Maybe if Bobby K. was still Mayor , Supervisor Bob Giza. would slide Lancaster's Parks and Recreation equipment in to fix things , like they used to . I wonder if Terry McCracken and the Lancaster Parks/Recreation Boys will be cutting St.Mary's lawns with Lancaster Town workers and equipment again this year ?
;)
