Why is your opinion he doens't care about the schools? Is he just a political hat that needs the position to foster someone elses needs?

Because if he was serious, he would have went around, filed petitions, campaigned during the past few months, like the other candidates then. After he found out it was going to be a write-in election, he decided to cash in on his name as a former council man. While the other candidates have been putting forward their ideas of where the schools should be headed, he didn't do a thing. Only when it appeared to be an easy race to win for a known name, did he decide to join in.

OH he's just looking for a title. Yes your right brian, if he truely wanted the position he would of been doing some effort for that position.

Does he have any qualifactions for the position otherwise? Could it be he's getting into hte race last minute?

Ever notice a lot of politicians spend the time they should be working campaigning instead.

That's like paying your employee while they are out looking for another job.

The whole Westside district race is write in...

How many votes will that garner????

This race is a joke......

Don't be surprised if the union friendly candidates sweeeep...

You know the teachers will be out enforce....

But what about parents????

I don't agree much with Sandy Beach.... But his show was good today..... He tackled the race from the angle that this race is equally important as any other reace in city history....I wish he would have started earlier.....a month back.....having candidates on the show.....

I would have liked more press on the whole race....

Trust me.....I had to really dig to get any info on the candidates at all..... I wish the Buff Newz would have done a bigger piece....a forum......in the paper allowing the candidates to really state their case.....

I will truly be surprised if the race draws 10 to 20 % of eligible voters.....

I'm voting Patricia Duffy for the race just because she seems the best candidate and is in favor of Charter Schools. I live in the West District, and don't wanna see someone like Quintana being on the School Board representing me. He works as a police officer for christ sakes, how does that qualify him for school board. Patricia Duffy is a principal at a Chatholic High School. It really is a no brainer.
