First go to politicswny.com and read the story about "Chairman Chris Drongosky "
Now remember I personally don't know these people and my opinion is based on what I have been reading in general on this website, the news, and politicswny.com.
The report displayed maybe $2-3,000.00 in entertaining & lodging expenses by County IP Chairman Orsini.
If I give money as a donation to support something, I expect the money to be used to support the cause not nights out for the volunteer enless the money was donated specificily as a party lets say for the volunteers.
The most logical response is, so what! Orsini doesn't take a salary, no office rent, no secretarial staff, or related expenses. Yet he is criticized for spending a few bucks on entertainment, over a year, which was promptly reported to the Board of Elections by Orsini, for local IP Chairmen & Committeepersons.
It was mentioned he's on disability from a marketing job from OTB. Can he take a salary and still collect disability? His job is to market the IP party and if he can't market the OTB job he was given in the first place he can't market the IP party to voters. I would like to know how he got the marketing job in the first place for OTB before he started to collect disability for that job. How long did he have that job before he was diabled enough not to do the job. A few rumors was that he was given the patronage job for suporting the republicians. Now if he can market the IP party he can go back to his job at OTB which means he stops collecting the disability. No more BS. This is a bad example to voters people.
The reporter, Scott Brown, former Gorski spokesman, i.e., political operative, go to guy, what a hypocrite, who wrote that? (I could tell you stories!), had the nerve to bring DA Clark into the mix. Clark simply saying as long as the expenses are reported & the money wasn't put in someone's pocket, no harm no foul.
We will demand all accounting records if we can. If checks were written to cover his business expenses NOT the IP expenses that is stealing. You word it anyway you want, it's stealing. If i go to a fund raiser and donate $5000 to the cause I expect it to be used for the intended purpose. NOT to cover members business expenses.
The reason the whole thing started was Drongosky didn't get a job after selling his support to certain Town Board members.
Chris should of mentioned this wether he got the job or not. He's as guilty for letting it slide if he knew these practices were going on. Would he of been quiet if he got what he wanted? If so, these are the type of people which hinder WNY also. Watching things happening and allowing it to happen as long as you get what you want is just as bad as doing it.
By the way, that lunatic, Amherst's Jim Tricoli, who probaly isn't taking his medication, arrested & thrown out of Town Board sessions, supplied Brown & Buffalo News reporter Bob McCarthy with the paperwork for their reports. Tricoli forgets to tell people he is one of Drongosky's best friends. Tricoli claiming, to whoever is dumb enough to pay attention to him, to be a reporter.
As long as the tax payer pays attention to Jim and Jim is correct in the long run that is what counts.
Joe are you telling people that people like me are "dumb enough to pay attention to him"? I personally saw the paper work or lack of accountability of the IP leadership and I don't like it.
This was the problem with the Erie County IP in the past you had nut cases like Rick Donovan & Charlie Flynn embarrassing the rank & file time after time. Hopefully with the latest purge, of Drongosky, this will change.
It's time to purge the leadership which give the IP party a bad name. Chris also if he knew these type of things were going on without mentioning them.
By the way TOny orsini seemed to dance away from the channel two camera pretty well.
