Perusing the City of Buffalo's official Web site, I found it ironic that Mayor Anthony Masiello's biography states: The overriding theme of the Masiello administration has been the "Three Es: Education, Economic Development and Environment." It seems to me, the overriding theme has been: How much can we mess up what's left of the city and still get paid?
I wouldn't brag about the state of the Buffalo Public Schools, considering the district's performing arts school has only four guitars for two dozen students to share. That's very sad. As far as the environment, I'm still waiting for the residents of Hickory Woods to be made whole, as the mayor promised years ago.
The senior staff biographies section - a chance to show off the brightest and the best, as Masiello promised he would hire when he was elected - lists no information other than the staffers' names, e-mail addresses and titles. One would think he would want to brag. Well, maybe not.
