I remember hearing about that project as the initial plan was being scrapped. As a matter of business in the early-to-mid 2000s I was in Austin 2-3 times a year and a lot of people I knew, met or dealt with were pretty passionate about the whole project - especially the reuse aspect.

That's an encouraging and happy update. I wonder about the specifics.
