Is this raise issue going to be an annual thing ? Hopefully it will be put to rest till the next elections.

From a thread started on the WNY Politics Joel Giambra Board, under the heading of No pay raise for County employees is an article from the Buffalo News about the pay raises that County workers will not get which says:

Although the Finance Committee killed the commission recommendations, legislators said Tuesday that they probably will take up the pay raise issue this year and hold public hearings because some type of increase is warranted.

Maybe it is a good strategy.
Wait for all the shouting to stop, let the dust settle.
Then in a few months give them selves a twenty percent raise and every one will think they are being financially prudent after what was proposed.
Brilliant!!!
We have to keep our eyes on them. Sleep on our backs, so to speak.
Can't let this issue die.
