Anyone heard anything about this? With all the problems that Walters and the Board have been having this should prove to be interesting.

Address started at noon. It will be interesting to see the reaction of the board. He hopefully will lay out a sound course for this town.

It seems that Steve tried to lay out a plan for Hamburg this year. But instead of discussing the issues after the address, the Dem's just complained about his and his secretaries salary. No surprise there.:)

Did anyone find fault in any of his ideas?

He seems sincere and pretty intelligent. Who do people on this board hate him so much? Anyone know? Is it just a Dems vs. GOP thing? I know the rest of the board members are Dems...........but that seems so lame to me. Local governance is about LOCAL matters, like potholes, that should bridge political party differences.
I know it's just the Mom in me, but when read about him or see him on the news, I think, "Such a nice boy! Why are people so mean to him?"

Because he broke up the dem dream team. He is repub who is trying to improve the town without wanting to line his pockets. Dems are pissed.

Anyone who helps him are labeled and targeted in this town. It's very sad we live in a community where the majority of the town board only cares about their pockets and not about the citizens. They are even willing to run a candidate who is not eligible to hold office just to keep people in line. Almost all the people who I know in politics tell me that Jim Sorrentino is a stand up guy who doesn't pull punches and cares about his town. But what happened this month in Hamburg with his party really has me questioning whether or not he can be trusted with our future. I wish that Jim would sit down with Steve and try to reach some kind of understanding that extends past the party lines. Politics is politics and elections get messy, but they have to find a way to work together until one or the other is no longer there. I would be happy to be the guy to bring them together if they are willing.

Sorrentino cares about this town? Right. He only cares because he got a great retirement package from them. He is the reason the town is so @&$*#* up.

I very much believe Walters is trying to do the right thing for the town and look behind doors that have been closed for a long time. Of course he's going to face resistance from the entrenched. I think Walters has certainly had some missteps along the way, but he is young and learning.
