Thinks gabby is nuts putting a casino near the airport. Someone mentioned a casino can draw upwards of 30,000 cars a day? Doesn't the cheektowaga superivisor ever drive down union road about 4:30 to 5:30? Or do they just look at the amount of extra jobs he can patronize out from the extra windfall without reguards to the people that live in the area?

I live here, 30000 cars a day could be a problem if it was all at once, realistically not everyone is going to go at once and I think realistically 30000 cars is a lot as this assumes every single visitor drives themselves. Im sure there will be increased trffic etc. Personally I dont mind if they put it out there, I would have preferred a downtown location but the city couldnt pull that off. Job are a good thing, the entertainment is a good thing.
For the record I dont think casinos are bad, but they are just another part of the big puzzle.

If the casino does have to be in the suburbs (keep in mind, we don't have a choice), the Airport is a good location.
Traffic disruption will be somewhat minimal, as it's close to the 33, and the Thruway. The casino will also pull in the overnight business travelling crowd that stays at the airport hotels.
The few times I've been to the Seneca Niagara Casino, there has been a line of no more than 20 cars or so. (And that's on a narrow street).
Put that amount of cars on the 33, Genesee, Transit or the Thruway and it should be no big deal.
Traffic around a Delta Sonic on a sunny day is worse.

Have you hit Transit and Genesee when it's busy? What a pain! I guess if it has to be in Cheeky, the airport idea is better than their other idea.
