Think so?

I'm not sure about that one.

It's hard to say. I only drink once in a double blue moon.

Beringer Zif. It's about $11, and is rather good mid-priced wine.

I've had them both, but prefer the Rose.

Australian wines used to be a "bug value" a few years ago, then came the South American, mostly Chilean, and recently, a really good region is the Washington/Oregon areas. Climate change has actually helped add huge amounts of flavor and increased the growing season in the PacNW.

Go to any large wine/liquor store and they can help you pick out a great wine for every meal.

Reminiscent of green grapes picked off the vine in Grandma's back yard and stuffed into a bottle.

This has to be the best wine I've ever had, which isn't saying much because I haven't had that many. It is delicious though. The description is spot on.

We just went to Earle Estates/Torrey Ridge, Excellent wines! Go one lake over to Montezuma for some excellent mead and vodka made from honey, Bee Vodka. It's very smooth.
Hunt Country has some really good wines too.

I've only been to Bully Hill Vinyards.
My favorite was Alicia's Southern Dogwoods, but they don't make it no more.
Infact those three words don't even appear consecutively in a search.

Sort of like Jester's Hamburgers in Blasdell.
No reference to it on the internet means it was never there.

You're forgetting HOME MADE. Support local business and make your wine the way you want. I go to the http://www.walkersfruitbasket.com/index.html every October and choose any kind of juice I want. Then, make it MY WAY. They provide all supplies and insructions; even have a taste room.

Highly recomended local farm. Take a ride. Enjoy a family time and country settings.

So I watched this DVD starring John Cleese about wine.
He invited a bunch of his friends from his neighborhood in California.
Brendon Frasier was one of them.
So he was giving different wines to these people asking them to describe it. They were throwing out terms like nutty, fruity, floral bouquet et al..- very descriptive.
Then he gave them all a cup of wine with a top on it so they couldn't see it.
He asked this group of about 15, " If you think you are drinking red wine raise your hand."
-about seven put up their hand.

Then he asked, "If you think you're drinking white wine raise your hand."
-about 8 raised their hand.

He then informed them that they were all drinking red.

Then he had about seven bottles ranging from $5 to $200 dollars.
He asked them to taste them and put the price tag on each one.
Some had the 200 dollar tag on the 5 dollar bottle.
No one had a clue in the blind testing...but many were connoisseurs beforehand.

Rag Apple Lassie, in the Yadkin valley of North Carolina. Great winery. Although I also recommend taking a trip around the finger lakes to sample wines from the many, many wineries of New York State. :)

Some of the neighbors have been drinking Red Cat from Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, located in the Finger Lakes.
It's a little on the sweet side for me, but I can handle a glass now and then.

It's probably a Catawba wine, which is sweet. It's probably a good wine to sit around the backyard fire and sip.
I wonder if it's on the east side of Seneca lake. We did the wineries on the west side of the lake. Something to look forward to :)
We've been doing a weekend winery tour of each lake.
