On Tuesdays' Independence Primary election, Brian Wirth captured 57% of the vote in a three way race to claim the November line as he progresses his fight for the Erie County Legislature. This means that Brian will appear on the Republican and Independence lines on the November 3rd ballot.
"It was an important victory for the Taxpayers on Tuesday and a step in the right direction. The Independence voters have proved that we can set partisan politics aside to work toward the betterment of our local community and economic climate."
As Brian's campaign gears up towards a victorious November, his campaign will focus on ways to bring in new business and help those small businesses that have struggled to stay in Western New York.
"It doesn't matter what party affiliation you claim. We can turn this area around with the proper independent leadership in place. The key to our success will be through our ability to bring in new, and help our area small businesses. My leadership in the County Legislature will focus on these initiatives."
Brian believes that the hostile partisan battles have helped to diminish Erie County's appeal to new business.
"I will stick to the issues in this campaign to prove that the answers to our problems do not lie in the hands of one particular political party. We are all connected in Western New York, through the thick and the thin. We can prevail victorious together. Please set aside that which divides us and focus clearly on what will move us forward. I say this in the hopes that my opponent will do the same."
Brian Wirth will face off in November against the West Seneca Councilwoman Christina Bove whom is set to lose her seat in January due to Downsizing.
