Subject: Re: A SOLUTION to the Erie County Political Corruption !
The ONLY way we CAN stop this corruption is by using the election booth to put reformers into office.
Let me suggest that we back any candidate endorsed by Primary Challenge.
I have been working with other PC board members for 3 years to educate voters and find reform candidates to seek political office.
We have had many village, town and school board candidates win elections, but
unfortunately not enough yet to make a dramatic difference.
Two high-profile Primary Challenge candidates presently serving are Amherst Supervisor Satish Mohan and Erie County Executive Chris Collins.
Primary Challenge reformers have become a majority in Hamburg as Supervisor Steve Walters and newly elected Councilman Tom Best and Kevin Smardz now represent control on the 5 person town board. It CAN be done if people work together and find out what the person they are voting for represents.
Of course Primary Challenger, former West Seneca Erie County Legislator Cindy Locklear, was targeted and defeated by the Democrat Political Machine because she did not vote the way they desired. As an example, Cindy voted AGAINST the controversial Apprenticeship Law, which is highly unfavorable to business but VERY FAVORABLE to the Unions that help control the local Democrat Party.
After 3 years of becoming involved with local politics I am convinced that WE CAN bring change to New York if we support Primary Challenge and other reform groups and candidates.
Progress is slow but it is happening. Few thought that Primary Challenger Chris Collins had a chance to defeat entrenched machine-politician James Keane and the 144,000 Democrat voter plurality Keane enjoyed in Erie County. That election showed that if "we the people" work together and vote for reformers we can make a difference and become a powerful force.
We now have growing Primary Challenge Chapters in Erie County, Monroe County (rapidly expanding in the Rochester area), Niagara County, Cattauraugus County, Chautauqua County and even Stueben County in South-Central NY.
If we want to stop the corruption in the Erie County Water Authority, The New York State Thruway Authority etc. we must elect politicians who will work for the TAXPAYER. It can be done and will be done with help from citizens like you.
PLEASE spread the word to everyone on your e-mail list..........the Internet can be a useful instrument to bring about reform.
The Time is NOW,
