Linwood Health Care resident Lottie McCallum celebrated her 105th birthday on Monday, September 25, 2006. While celebrating her birthday with family and friends, enjoying music, cake, balloons, et al, Lancaster Town Supervisor Robert Giza paid a visit to extend his personal well wishes and to deliver a Town Proclamation in her honor.

Lottie has resided at Linwood since September 11, 2003. The Linwood staff adores Lottie for her wit and charm and never tires of her stories.

Before introducing Supervisor Giza, Brian Reader, Linwood Administrator, informed the 80 or so guests that Lottie belonged to a group called “Nitwits.” "Not a musical group mind you, but a group who crocheted and donated their blankets to nursing homes," explained Reader.
