REYNOLDS WORKS TO CREATE JOBS – OFFSHORE

Rep. Tom Reynolds (R-NY 26 CD) claims he is working to create jobs in Western New York – but his voting record tells a different story.

Reynolds doesn’t talk honestly about his record. Using the free mail privilege that members of Congress use - and abuse - liberally to stuff constituents’ mailboxes, Reynolds misrepresents HR 4520, the American Job Creation Act, as an example of his work for Western New Yorkers.

“His latest betrayal is the so-called American Job Creation Act. That bill gives a tax break to the offshoring multinational corporations while excluding the small businesses that create jobs here in America,” Davis explains.

Reynolds of course voted for HR 4520 – and his vote is part of a pattern.

Davis continues, “Tom likes using our tax dollars to reward companies that turn their back on America. He won’t even keep government contracts from going to companies that move offshore to avoid paying US taxes. ”

Reynolds used his position on the House Rules Committee to kill a bipartisan amendment to the Homeland Security appropriations bill that would deny contracts to companies like Accenture which are based offshore for tax reasons.

Tom Reynolds is loyal – to the corporate donors that make him one of the GOP’s top fundraisers. When it comes to Western New Yorkers – he’s too busy.

Jack Davis is running against Tom Reynolds for U.S. Congress in the New York State 26th Congressional District which has been negatively affected by free trade.
