Prior to the town board voting on pre-filed resolution, the public is given an opportunity to address the board on any resolution. Resident Mike Fronczak took that opportunity to address the board on Resolution #10, the hiring of a new police officer to fill a retirement vacancy.

Lancaster appoints police officer based on Police Chief's recommendation

By a vote of 3-1 the Lancaster Town Board appointed Ron Giza Jr. to the position of police officer in the Town of Lancaster effective August 3, 2012. Giza will fill an opening as the result of the retirement of Captain Timothy Murphy effective July 20, 2012.

What Fudoli’s victory means to the “regulars”

As a member of the remaining handful of “regulars” who religiously attend Lancaster Town Board meetings, it may appear to many residents that we were motivated to support political change in Lancaster and take joy in the fact that Republican Dino Fudoli won the Supervisor position for personal reasons. That would be true, but not for personal/party related reasons.

Unless the perpetrators of the Dino Fudoli drug dealing scam make an eleventh hour move to make another desperate attempt to politically smear the Republican candidate for the Lancaster Supervisor election, as is common in Lancaster Democratic politics, the public will be (or should be) focusing on the issues.

Lancaster Councilman Mark Aquino, for whatever reason, has taken it upon himself to declare the town acted responsibly with the purchase of the 3949 Walden Avenue Colecraft Building and during the eight year delay where numerous feasibility studies were conducted and the cost of the project skyrocketed by the millions.
